36 Earth And Skin Colors Extra-Fine Acrylic Paint Pens

Guys these pens are amazing! I'm an artist who hates to paint. I know that's a contradiction, but it's true. I love to draw though! I was struggling to get some paintings finished (I got bored with them) when I thought I'd try paint pens - a combination of painting and drawing, right? With crossed fingers I bought these after doing some research. I already had a couple of random paint pens from 'the other guys' I'd used to sketch with and lay down outlines, but they weren't amazing and they were hard to use. However when I tried the Tooli pens I was really impressed! First of all the tips (I got all Xtra Fine) are very nice, firm, pointy, can get good detail. Very responsive. Love that they send extras! The ink flows smoothly and isn't blotchy or blobby at all (at least not yet, we will see after I use them for a while.) But what really blew me away was the colors. The black is REALLY BLACK! The 'other guys' black is about the same level as the Tooli dark gray! I mean this is super India Ink color black, really beautiful. Other colors are vivid and stay wet just long enough that you can bring in another color and blend quite well. Note that if you puddle two different colors together they will instantly combine, kind of like water colors. Be prepared for that quick bleed. I recommend these to artists who want to doodle on canvas; works great!! I got the skin tones and naturals because I do a lot of portraits and need these colors for hair, skin, shadows, plus the browns are good for any kind of nature (fur, feathers, rocks, etc). There's some awesome muted and 'soft' sorts of colors in here and they blend well; you can even smear it with your finger while wet. Note: these pens would be awesome for pointillism!

I'm an artist, and I specialize in drawing on wooden canvases. These acrylic paint pens are the best I've used so far! These beat out Posca, Primrosia, and Michael's Artist Loft brands in performance and color options. The saturation and opacity is fantastic and the paint stays wet long enough to blend if necessary, but dries fast enough that you don't have to wait forever to add layers. I love how smooth and matte the finish is, and so far, the pens haven't dried out after a few weeks of use. I'll update if they do end up drying out. And the colors are AMAZING! I have multiple set of the different color palletes and there is very little overlap between colors in different sets, which is fantastic, because I don't need multiples of the same shade. I also love that they are clearly labeled with the set name and have large numbers on the TOP of the caps, so you can easily find the right color without having to take them all out of the box. Some of the pens do put out a bit too much paint, but I haven't had a problem with big leaks like you get when you pump Posca and Primrosia pens. To help with longevity, I seal my paintings with a workable clear spray fixative. For the price, these are amazing! So far, I'm in love with this brand!

Reviewing the 36 ct Skin & Earth Tones set. I use acrylic paint pens/markers for coloring books to relax and unwind. Tooli-Art is my favorite brand so far. I love the more natural and muted color options in this set and the Southwest set that I also have because I’m a fan of nature and landscape themed coloring books. These fine tip pens work best when you use light pressure with the nib tilted at an angle rather than directly vertical, don’t color too fast, and if you clean off the nibs occasionally. Other favorite fine tips are Ohuhu and Artecho, but Tooli-Art has the best color range.

They have a workable variety of colors that are adaptable to several different objects/finishes. They are filled with a pleasing array of colors. PLUS: `Set comes with five replaceable nibs. `Good choice of colors for nature scenes, skin tones and backgrounds for small areas. `These pens are easy to prime. `The paint does not clog around the base of the barrel like some other brands do. `The color flows smoothly and evenly. `The pens also have a good longevity. I have used mine on quite a few large stones, and they are still going strong. `There are six shades of green, and a whole slew of various tones of browns and blues. Nice! MINUS: `Some of the caps are very tight fitting and are difficult to remove and replace. `The paint does not always match the barrel color. `Some of the nibs have unnecessary wiggle room...meaning they wobble when in use. TRIAL AND ERROR: `I unintentionally tried these pens on fabric. Unfortunately the paint did not wash out; therefore, I think they would be good for fabric art. `I also tried them on pages in an adult coloring book with mediocre paper. They worked well, but I did see some stroke marks with some of the lighter colors. They were also slightly scratchy. Surprisingly, there was no bleed-through. `I tried them on plastic. After completely drying, the color washed away under running water and a soft brush. `They work really well on both rough and smooth stones.

Li ho usati su diversi materiali e risultano perfettamente coprenti; bisogna tenere presente che sulle superfici molto lisce e non porose lo strato tende a graffiarsi facilmente, come tutti gli acrilici all'acqua. Quando la punta si sporca, la tolgo e la lavo con acqua calda. Ci sono 6 punte di ricambio ma per ora non le ho mai sostituite, basta premere la punta su un cartone ondulato e non su superfici molto dure, per ar fuoriescire la tinta. Vanno agitati bene prima dell'uso (io scuoto tutta la scatola chiusa!) La gamma di colori è bellissima, comprerò anche l'altra con i colori brillanti. Prendendoci la mano si riesce a mischiare un po' i colori, su piccole superfici e lavorando in fretta. Purtroppo non c'è il nero e il bianco.

The colors are truly amazing and a great addition to my brighter color sets. I use them in my coloring books for finer detail and they blend well with my pencils and other acrylic paints. All the pens were easy to get the ink flowing from them. Highly recommended.
