Great Single Use Emergency Water System. Peace of Mind!
I live in Hurricane country...not the heart of it but we get schwacked as they move north pretty regularly. I also live on the water (yes, I know, I know) and deal with the nor'easters coming in now and again. In short, power can and does go out for up to 9 days when these things occur. Being the thrify sort I do consider the cost per gallon as well as the space required for anything I have tucked away for emergencies. Those hard sided water containers are very sturdy, but they also take up enormous amounts of room and 2 of them are more than the current Amazon price for the waterBob with less than 1/6th the water storage. The collapsable water carriers are smaller to store and I do have those, but they also cost more per gallon by a long shot. The disposable mylar ones are a cheap option, but they are VERY difficult to get around without puncturing. All in all, considering space required for storage and the cost per gallon, the waterBob is by far the cheapest and best option. Color me skeptical but I like to try everything before I trust in it during an emergency. So, I picked up one of these and used it. I filled it pretty quickly and without any mess at all. It all went into the Bob and not slopping around in the tub. The form fit the tub almost perfectly and it filled completely. The siphon thingie works fabulously and I really like how it shrinks down as the water empties and keeps air out. Nice feature there. But, like all things, there is a catch. This product is absolutely a one use item. I fiddled about with it trying to figure out a way to re-use it if I were ever in a situation where it couldn't be replaced. And no, there's no way to dry it out. I tried a blow drier up near the tube...uh, yes, that was dumb. I tried it though. Hanging it up...nope. Not even slitting it open in a discreet location and then blow drying it out is completely clean and I would have doubts about the ability of a repair to hold under pressure. Of course, there is the ability to keep filling it. If you are in an emergency where the water isn't flowing regularly, as long as this thing is in use there's no reason not to keep filling it up. That gives it even great value. Overall, given the price right now on Amazon, you can store water safely for about 20 cents a gallon. That is the cheapest thing out there especially when you consider the space required when not in use. This isn't even as big as a shoe box when not in use. NOTE: The price varies considerably on Amazon. If you want to track the price, put it on a shopping list and it will tell you when the price increases or decreases from the date when you added it. With Prime there is no shipping cost as of right now and $22 dollars or less is a good price compared with elsewhere. It will go up when a lot of people by them at once.

This can save your life!
I bought this in case of emergency. Well I’m in an emergency situation. After hurricane Milton the river started to rise and was predicted to be the worst ever. Since we are on well water and I knew I had to shut it down I put my Water BOB in my tub and filled it. It’s now two weeks later and still we are under water. But, I have fresh water on demand in my tub! Without this we would have to evacuate. You can live without running water but not without clean drinking water. There is no way to get water to us. But I can siphon water whenever I need it. I am so grateful to this company for making this wonderful product and I feel it has saved my life and the life of my dogs. I am blessed that I had this on my shelf waiting for the need. I will always have one just in case. I actually am crying that I have this. I wouldn’t have survived without it! Just buy one. I hope you never need it but if you do you’ll be glad you did.

Great way to NOT store beer.
This was used for beer storage on a trip to Death Valley. I must warn everyone: do not use it for that purpose as it was a minor disaster....OK well it was sort of a major disaster. Certainly a mess. Oddly the storage container survived the beer ordeal and after cleaning it out is happily filled with H2O now! Higly recommend this for the uncertain times ahead. All it takes is one insane finger on the button and voila...nobody's got water! If you live in a high rise apartment--and that includes tens of millions of Americans--then if the electric grid ever goes down YOU WILL NOT HAVE WATER!! It takes electricity to pump that water up to your apartments and condos! Buy this bag and sleep at night.

Tough Bladder, Cheap Fill Sock
Used ahead of a winter storm in case we lost power to our well. The bladder itself is tough, though the fill caps feel comparatively flimsy. Still, they shouldn’t be subject to much pressure. Overall feels like quality construction. The filling sock though…instead of a single piece of plastic or a hose, they welded together two flat sheets. On the plus side, it means it’ll fit over just about any faucet. On the downside, that leaves you with two seams that leak constantly instead of one or none, and it also causes it to fold/crinkle up, which makes leaks worse, and causes pressure buildup at the faucet. I had to keep a constant squeeze on the sock to keep it from overflowing back to the wall (if you’ve got a semi-full bladder, it will seal the water on top instead of letting it get down to the drain). They warn you to turn on the cold water “slowly” so as to “not cause leaks,” but it doesn’t really help. And if you keep the water on low, it doesn’t really fill “in minutes.” Overall 4/5 just to get it filled, we’ll see how the pump works.

Clean water is an essential.
An absolute requirement for everyone. You can go 3 days without water before you die. In a hurricane, or other emergency you don't need to worry about food so much, but clean water is a must have. Easy to store in a closet when not in use and then lay out in a bathtub and fill before disaster strikes. My sister in New Orleans has several. Avoid 'a boil order' because the water in the taps has been contaminated. In hurricane country also a must. Great for apartments.

Hurricane Harvey *edit added Texas Freeze
I actually purchased this item in 2012 had it stored in a hot garage until last night. We were expecting to get flooding and possible loss of power as we are on the 'dirty' side of the storm not in the direct path of the hurricane. My neighbors informed us as the last minute that if the power grid goes down like it did for hurricane Ike that our water station will go down. It was down for a week with Ike. The heavy rain was not due in out area until Saturday. Friday evening 8pm, with a light drizzle outside, the power suddenly went out. The storm is forcast to rain for another 3-5 days and panic set it. Remembered that we had the water Bob in the garage and decided to give it try. It's been stored in high Texas heat so the worry was that the plastic wouldn't be sturdy enough to hold water anymore. We thought of just filling the tub, which would have been plan B but with a toddler at home, open water is not preferable, also the water would be subject to dust, etc. Pics below are from filling it in the dark with just a cell phone flashlight. Very easy, 1 person job, was able to do most of it 1 handed. Few tips though. We placed it in the rounded garden tub which made it difficult to fill due to backflow And next time will place it in a standard tub. Also due to the back flow, the fill tube would back up once the bob started filling and causing a bend in the tube- causing mild spillage. Thought about cutting the tube but decided against it just in case we had the opportunity to top it off later. I would suggest making a cuff as shown in pics as the bob fills. It's now morning and no leaks found. Would definitely buy again. **Edit** we purchased another one and filled it right before the freeze. Thought I was being dramatic, just an inch of snow was expected but something told me to fill it. As any hurricane prone area family we had some bottled water and a few gallons always as a just in case. This thing literally saved us. We could have never imagined not having water for 2 weeks and not having anywhere to buy/refill from. We used all 100 gallons of it. My only complaint was once it got low it was very hard to siphon. Also the tube was a little short which made it hard to siphon out once the water was too low. We used the same garden tub in the pics which is very deep. Next time for real, we will use the regular sized tub.

Water remains good both to taste and meter reading.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Reputable company. This is our second waterbob. The first we used during a water contamination in our public system. We boiled the water first, let it cool and stored water for over a year. It remained fresh and usefully the entire time. The second time we stored water after a warning of a threat to our utilities. Over many years we stored water and only recently had to use it. Our meter and our taste buds both approved. Thanks waterbob.

We think we're almost ready now.
We had horrible wildfires last summer. We were not ready. We are getting there now.. got this bladder for tubs We have in the field were for cows, but now for gardening. So this will serve double purposes by helping water the garden, while being an emergency water supply to fight fires. We also converted an older truck to fire fight...get ready people, for goodness sake!!!!!!!
