I had been looking for something for a while, but, after suffering for days with a bad catch in my shoulder and neck, I purchased this, thinking it would be helpful. It is perfect for what I wanted. I know that ice works best for an injury, but for chronic aches and pains heat is recommended. This lies flat on my shoulder, and the flap in the back goes up my neck, providing relief in just a few minutes. I have found a forever home for it in a bookshelf near my bed, but I know I can grab it and take it to any room of the house any time. It's already such a part of my life I have named it. Mine is Merry. This feels great. I’ve always used a traditional heating pad for soreness, but I’m never going back. This feels weighted on shoulders which is so cozy. It works best on shoulders but can easily be used on back or stomach. The only thing I don’t like is that the cord got very twisted and I can’t untwist. But otherwise I love it.
