Seaguar Fluoro Premier 12 Pound Fluoro is TERRIBLE.
I have been using Seaguar Blue Label 15 pound Fluoro as a leader for several years and it has always been great. I mostly fish for trout (Saltwater) and I decided it was finally time to listen to everyone's advice and try a smaller pound leader. I have been told that using a thinner & lighter fluoro leader will help me get additional bites from shy fish. I decided to step up to the "Premier" product thinking it was better in every. I was only having to move down from (Blue Lable) 15 pound to (Premier) 12 pound line but the 12 pound line was much thinner and should help me get additional bites. I put the premier 12 pound fluoro on my 4 reels as leader and set out to fish my tournament. My very first cast of the day and the line snapped and I lost a brand new Johnson Sprite spoon. I had all four of the premier 12 pound leaders break while fishing today. I lost 3 brand new lures because the leader kept breaking. I was able to verify on each one of them that the leader had actually broken vs having a knot come undone. I don't know if I just got a bad spool of this stuff or what, but I can promise you I will never use the premier fluoro again. After buying the line and having to replace 3 lures today I am out almost $50.

Incredible product.
I decided to switch from steel leaders to fluorocarbon, just so I could still apply my normal fishing techniques towards more line-shy fish, so I purchased both the 12lb and the 50lb for Northern pike fishing. Attached both to braided line using FG knot, and a uni-knot to attach to a swivel/clasp. It's hard to get good knots with these as the line is a stiffer than I'm used to, but after a few tries, my knots were solid. I was blown away by this product. A 33 inch northern swallowed my lure and fought me pretty hard on the 12lb leader, which I believe is .009 diameter. Even though it was thrashing with this monofilament fluorcarbon leader rubbing up against its teeth, the line showed absolutely no signs of wear or abrasion. They're not lying about this product, it's good stuff.

Incorrect product image
I specifically ordered this line (I already have Seaguar gold standard) because of the package that was shown. I wanted the package that is shown because it looks very slim and would travel well on a 30-mile canoe trip where I don't have a lot of space. Unfortunately the line comes in a larger package which seems very oversized it's over an inch thick which is strange and considering all other line comes in a smaller spool. Everybody understands that you only get 25 yd and that's not a lot. You don't have to put it in an oversized package to make it seem like you're getting more than you are.

Makes a wonderful first string on a tenor ukulele!
Seaguar Fluoro Premier is more than great fishing leader. It makes a wonderful string for ukuleles and classical guitars! This 50 LB version is .022" in diameter and perfect in tension for a high tension first string (A) on a tenor ukulele or guilele (or a light tension first string for a classical guitar). Seaguar quality is amazing as this material is consistently true in diameter, resulting in good intonation, long sustain and clear sweet tone with slight brightness. It's also glassy smooth so no noise from picking or fretting. It's also really tough and lasts 3 or 4 times longer than nylon before fingernail and fret abrasion eat it up.

I would use the blue label and only use the premiere at a higher test rating when I feel like it. No real difference diameter wise
Premiere says it is IGFA line giving to the fact that it does have a smaller diameter rating than their blue label. I would use the blue label and only use the premiere at a higher test rating when I feel like it. No real difference diameter wise, save your money and go blue.

Excellence
I love Seaguar's flouro. I switched up to this line for musky on the fly. This line is supple enough to cast and have great movement on large flies. Tough enough to hold up to some serious head-thrashing and hold up to bad abrasions. Best line I've ever used.

strong and invisible.
I use as a tippet on a fly rod. I got tired of having bass breakoff because I had to stop them getting into the weed line. This fluorocarbon is tough enough to stop them and is virtually invisible in the water due to it's thin diameter.

Makes you feel like Izumi
As soon as I applied this leader to my line I immediately felt like Bob Izumi. I knew I would land a large musky and have no doubts... It was immediately successful in hammering Lake St.Clair musky and not losing one. Great product
