I bought these while researching our water quality because, honestly, our water isn’t great. I haven’t found a reverse osmosis system that I’m ready to commit to yet, so these have been a great, affordable temporary solution for storing clean drinking water. The packaging was one of the first things that impressed me. I ordered three boxes, and not a single bottle arrived broken. Every jug was well padded and protected. I actually kept the boxes and padding so I can safely transport the jugs to the store without worrying about them bumping around in my car. The glass feels very sturdy and the jugs are easy to use. They’re also a great size when you need to store a large amount of water at once. Also the water seems cool in the water jugs when I poor out it does not heat up, although I do keep it in a cooler place, not fridge. One of the caps did arrive broken, but customer service was fantastic and sent me a replacement fairly quickly, which I really appreciated. Overall, I’m very happy with both the product and my experience. If you’re looking for an affordable way to store drinking water, especially if you’re not ready to invest in a filtration system yet, I definitely recommend these. And even once I get a filter, I’ll still have plenty of uses for these jugs when I need to store larger quantities of water or prepare for situations where extra water is needed. They’re definitely something I’ll continue to use!

I ordered eight of these glass jugs for water . The water in my community is disgusting and I needed something other than plastic to retrieve water . I go to the town south of me where I buy water because there's this drinkable . Being able to get multiple quantities at once and not be sitting in plastic was a good choice . There will made the handle could be a little bigger but that's okay I can still pick them up I am excited to go tomorrow and fill them up . They will also work tremendously well if you need to make lemonade or punch for an event . I got four for $35 I think it was money well spent .

I really like these gallon glass jugs because they’re lead-free, which is important to me. I wanted something safer than plastic for storing liquids, and these are exactly what I was looking for. The glass is thick and sturdy, so I don’t worry about them breaking during normal use. They feel well made and much more durable than I expected. I also like that they aren’t plastic, so I don’t have to worry about odors, staining, or chemicals leaching into what I’m storing. The caps fit securely, and the jugs work great for water, juice, or other household liquids. They are heavier when full compared to plastic containers, but that’s expected with quality glass. Overall, this is a great reusable option if you want durable, lead-free glass storage

These get me endless compliments—they are heavy duty and uniquely beautiful. I’m obsessed! They aren’t too heavy, and all four fit perfectly in the front seat of my car. My favorite part is the built in handle so they don’t slip out of my hands.

Original review: These are the best quality 1 Gallon Glass jugs that I have found. Shipping was good with adequate padding and clearly marked as Fragile Glass. Everything arrived undamaged in a timely manner. Would buy again. Follow up: Originally it was a 5 star review but I have to change it. My rating is 3.5 stars but I put 4 stars so as not to be rude. Because I genuinely do like the quality of the glass jugs. This is the third box that I have bought. The two other "Fastrack 4-Pack 1 Gallon Glass Jug Set" that I bought were significantly better. In all fairness the quality of the glass jug is the same. The quality of the caps they are putting on them now is dramatically inferior. I am disgruntled about the downgrade. I hope the production factory makes the choice to change back to how it was. What is wrong with the new polyseal cap? It's the same quality plastic as a cheap poker chip. Very poor quality cap. The previous fastrak bottles had high quality poly caps. They were just like the standard apothecary bottle poly cap. A very hard and durable plastic. Very different. Are they even food grade material? Doubtful. The new caps don't properly thread. They do but it will be crooked and absurd when screwing down. One would think the cap was cross-threaded but really it doesn't get any better. The caps are garbage and I will throw them away. Will be replacing them with food grade silicone. Another point of contention is the crappy cardboard boxes the jugs arrive in now. Maybe it was a fluke but I doubt it. The old boxes had a cardboard insert like a plus (+). The insert separated the jugs, it was nice. Also, the box dimensions fit the jugs. The current, new box now is oversized and a bit ridiculous. It arrived without an insert. I prefer to store the jugs in their box because among other things, they are stackable. They also consolidate the space and make for easier storage. 4 Glass Gallon jugs takes a good bit of space. With the box, is much easier. I had to discard the absurd box that they arrived in because it won't fit anywhere on a shelf. It uselessly requires more space and does not stack properly because there is too much vertical space above the jugs. Any weight on top would crush the box in. Note to factory from a loyal customer: PLEASE CHANGE BACK TO THE PREVIOUS, HIGHER QUALITY CAPS. PLEASE CHANGE BACK TO THE ORIGINAL BOX WITH THE + INSERT.

Been looking a while for jugs like these. I haven't used them yet but they (jugs & tops) arrived in good condition & are very sturdy feeling. I'm curious about cleaning them though because the neck of the bottle is slim. I plan to read more reviews about cleaning

I bought it because I read that keeping your container of milk in the very back of the fridge, and in a glass bottle, makes it colder (and makes it last longer). And in my experience, it DOES. The only not-welcome surprise: The bottle is heavy-duty and therefore a little heavy -- and with a gallon of milk in it, BOY, is it heavy! I slip my finger through the "ear" near the top of the bottle and I can carry it fine, but I sure know that I'm carrying something heavy, and it digs into my finger a little, producing (VERY light) pain. I'll live! But a gallon of milk in the stores' plastic containers sure weighs a LOT less.

Perfect as a secondary vessel for home brewing. i siphoned off a batch of home made cider (hard cider for those in the USA) into this to let it age off-lees. Good size, nice sealing cap, and the right size for leaving not too much headroom (my carboys are US Gallons, so just under 4 litres, which is pretty much perfect for brewing from store bought juice, it leaves just enough to taste the unfermented juice). Once aged it will got from this bottle into individual serve bottles for consumption.

Product was delivered ahead of time, well packaged and very stylish, durable bottles and water tight caps. Ideal for water storage, they also make a terrific "Cape Breton Oak Cask" by putting lightly charred oak, maple and birch sticks, along with a 7.5" piece of 3/8 copper tubing and small nugget of chaga (Inonotus obliquus), together with 1 gallon of neutral spirits (legally purchased from the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission). I as so pleased with the results, I am considering offering same for sale (-spirits) for others who want to control the colour and flavour of their favorite spirits to their taste. The photo is a before/after of two Casks showing results after 6 weeks of aging. The fun part is shaking it up very day or so, to help the process along (and great stress relief therapy as well).
