Salt Water Original Little Kid Leather Sandals

Alright, I just received these this morning and I feel the need to write a review, especially because of all the doubts I had when it came to the sizing and what to order. I'm normally a 7.5 (occasionally an 8, every now and then) and I lean more towards the wide-ish side (but not enough to get wide width shoes). I read some tips about stretching these out before wearing them, but I put them as soon as I received them and have been wearing them all day. Here's the deal: They are SUPER comfortable! No width issues whatsoever, either. Hoooowever, while the size 5 (US women's 7) does fit me, I think a 6 (US women's 8) would've been a little bit better, giving a little bit more space length-wise. If you're in between sizes, I'd say go up (unless you prefer the exact fit/borderline small scenario).Anyway, to say that I recommend them would be an understatement. They're lovely, classic, comfy, and have that wonderful set up of clean and simple lines that make them go with everything. They seem durable as well. When in doubt: Get them!

I wish every shoe was made this well and at such a reasonable price. I bought these for my 2 year old daughter. We typically purchase target or payless shoes, and she wears a size 4 in those shoes. I read these run big, so I ordered her a size 4 hoping they would fit with some room to grow, but they ended up being almost exactly the same size as her foot with not much room to grow. I kept them and will definitely be getting another pair once she grows out of them. I had her try on a size 5 at Nordstrom and those were too big anyway. She has worn them for 2 months now almost everyday, even in the ocean, and they still look almost brand new. Also, she never got blisters from wearing. They look adorable on her, go with everything, extremely durable, comfortable and reasonably priced.

Got these for me and my girls. Mine seem to fit fine, but I got the size my girls are starting to get into for summer coming, and wow! They are drowning them. My daughters are 9&6, and wear 11 & 2. I got them a 3 and 12, since some of their shoes they’re already sizing up in. These are enormous. So much so that I had to order a size down, I hope they still aren’t too big. They’re coming today and tomorrow, so we’ll see. My daughters love them and they’re super adorable girls sandals ( I think this style looks too girly for boy boys IMO). I had a friend tell me she orders a size DOWN from what her girls currently wear, I thought maybe their feet were just really petite/slender or something, but I can see why now. They seem to run large. I was a little worried about getting knock offs because I’d read some people got them, but I’m not sure how to tell. They look and feel nice so I’m happy for now:)

This is my first pair of Salt Waters but so far, I think they are excellent shoes. Right out of the box they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I found the leather to be soft and thick and the shoes fit without any uncomfortable spots. I wore them all over the first day I got them and I didn't have any blisters or parts that rub. I am excited to see how well they hold up for two weeks at the ocean. I wear a women's size 9 in most shoes and the Big Kid 7 fits perfectly. They are nice and wide in the toe box so I imagine people who have wider feet would find them quite comfortable as well. I like them so much I ordered a pair for each of my kids

I ordered the tan sandal, in a size 4m big kid. The color was just as pictured, and they seem to be very well made. This is my first pair, and I'm really happy with them out of the box. I was worried about sizing. Since I can be a 6 or 6.5 and sometimes even a 7, I wasn't sure what size to get. But I ended up picking the right size. My foot is about 9 inches long, and the size 4m big kid is right at about 9.5 inches long. The straps do feel a little tight right now but in the box it says do not buy loose, because they will eventually stretch and the leather will conform to your foot, and it also says they will soften up after being wet. Amazon was quick to ship and offered these very cheap in comparison to other online retailers.

I had these last year for my daughter in bright yellow, she wore them every single day in and out of the water all summer and at the end they still looked almost new! Which is why I ordered them for her again this year. Plus they look so cute on the foot! When I got them the first time I remember I was a little worried, it didn't look like there was any padding for the foot, I was worried she would get blisters, but that didn't happen at all, she seemed really comfortable in them. I had read some reviews that the bottoms were slippery but I didn't find that at all. Btw this color, the turquoise, is so much prettier than it looks online. All in all, a great purchase - a comfortable pretty leather water sandal, and well priced!
