To overcome this a ups battery back up device must be connected to the mag locks so the lock stays on when power goes off. **Q: Can you run two electromagnetic locks off one power supply, ie one lock on top of door and one on bottom?** A: Not sure how you would put this at the bottom of a door ( you would step on it all the time ) but yes you could have two locks on one power supply . The lock draws 1/2 amp at 12v , so you would need a 1 amp supply to run 2 locks ( 3-5 amp supplies are pretty common and would be fine to use ) supply must be great or equal to demand , never less . **Q: Can i use a poe sw+ to power supply the maglock?** A: No **Q: My lock releases after a 1-2 second delay when power is cut. Is this normal? Adjustable? My old lock, a 600 pound version, released instantly.** A: Thank you for your question. This is due to power supply.
