I had the previous version that lasted at least 27 years. How I wish I bought 2 at the time. This one is similar, but there was nothing like the original. The knobs are bigger on top. My first one, the on and off switch broke, but I was still able to slide it. I hope this one is the same. I am trying to be careful, but with plastic, you never know. After my Original one broke for good, I had a temporary replacement that I hated. It was overly bright and did not have a Snooze button....No Snooze Button !!!....Forget it. I could not wait to get this one. It is not as Bright as the last one with no Snooze button, but I guess they are all that way now, brighter. But it is good for me because I can see the time without my glasses on. I miss the Original Alarm. This one is annoying with the different beeps, but, it gets me up eventually within 1/2 hour...does the job so far. It is well packaged with screw on feet attached to the box...amazing...I do hope it lasts a long time because it is very affordable and the last one was so reliable.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. I wanted an old school alarm with no Bluetooth and saw this, looked like the radio shack one I had back in the 80’s and 90’s. First off, the alarm is like a gosh damn whisper. The lights are blinding and worst of all, it BUZZES like crazy when plugged in. The time changed on it after I had set it. It’s just a piece of junk. I’ve never thrown something out so fast in my life. Absolute dog crap of a product, avoid!

My dad’s early 80’s alarm clock finally kicked the bucket (ai thought they were immortal!). He asked if I had anything with just a clock and an alarm. I told him I had an echo with a clock, an echo with a screen, a phone holder that turns your phone into a clock (with alarm!) and he said “No! just a clock and alarm! I gave it to him and I haven’t seen him this happy to receive a gift (he’s “thrifty” to say the least) in a long long time! Great purchase! Simple setup, real buttons, and can get loud. It’s smaller than the original, but that’s okay! It still looks straight out of the 80’s!

Keeps time, isn’t annoyingly bright, and looks good. Just wish it wasn’t such cheap plastic, and the actual alarm was louder.

My husband owned the same model from the 1960-s. It finally broke (set button snapped) after many years of good service. This new model was similar.One thing we did not like was the brightness of the led numbers with no adjustment for dimming. In fact we had to cut the plastic face from the old model and tape it onto the new clock to dim the brightness. Better. We prefer the old alarm with the steady beep and do not like the new alarm with three variances. Too bad we cannot change the setting for the "type" of alarm. We do like the simplicity of a basic clock with simple setting procedures. We also prefer the new long-shaped set buttons better than the old round buttons. Just seems sturdier. Note: I have a slight hearing disability in one ear and cannot hear high pitches very well. I have searched & searched for an alarm with a lower pitch. Most alarms are about the same... high-pitched beep. Do you have a clock with a lower pitch alarm that I can purchase? Help!

A flashback to the 70's/80's in a simple alarm clock like you used to find in drug stores and hardware stores. No blue tooth, network connected nonsense. Just a loud "beep" at 06:00 letting you know it's time to get up for work.

First this is a great little clock...it's so easy to use that I'm getting my husband a second one for his "has to go to the spare bedroom" when he snores so loud he's banished from the master suite...we've used this clock for decades with only one problem...it's so bright at night I was afraid the nearby airport would call us to complain we were interfering with airplane runway tracking systems. Ladies be especially aware this clock radiates a light that could easily light an entire wing of your home ...I use our bedroom tv remote to rest along the front to block the bright light before retiring for the night. It is however a great easy to use clock ... albeit with runway lighting...it's all in the eye of the beholder so to speak ....

First off this clock is not worth the money you pay. The buttons are easy to use and the time is easy to set. Easy to turn the alarm button on and off. The lights are too bright. The noise level is so low if you are breathing normally while sitting next to it you will mot hear it. The increasing alarm function if you don't hit snooze after 9 minutes does not work it just stops beeping. 9 minutes later the alarm doesn't go off again. So disappointed and it is not worth the hassle to return. Well at least it is bright and has the 80s feel.

Clock easy to use, nothing fancy to it. Bought it because I wanted a clock and needed it to fit my girlfriend aesthetic for the apartment. It’s very good and works well.

The same make and model lasted for twenty years. The new one arrived on time but when plugged into appropriate mains facility, started to smoke and smell of burning.
