Arrived in perfect condition, safely packaged. Just what I've been looking for for quite a while. What I like most is that it's plain, simple, easy to keep clean. Most butter dishes these days are "ornate" or have too many little crannies where food can get stuck. This design is perfect. Reminds me of butter dishes my grandmothers used to keep on the kitchen table. And it's solid, great quality. Can hold 2 average sticks of butter, side-by-side, but great for just one as well. I'm filing this under "Best buys".

I really like the size of the dish. It's great that it will hold 2 sticks of butter. The problem is it is very hard to grasp the cover because it is so slick. the dish cover needs a handle or textured sides to work well.

We really love this as a way to store cream cheese.  Some folks complained about the top being too slick to grip.  With a certain amount of care in removing the top, this hasn't been an issue for us.
