American Psycho II: All American Girl

Such an amazing movie to be a sequel to American psycho and straight to DVD, but it has very little to do with the first movie

This was a hidden gem! Barely saw it the other day and had to buy it! No idea why reviews on it are bad, but we enjoyed it!!

Mila Kunis makes a very convincing psychopath. I Love all three of the American Psycho movies: American Psycho, American Psycho 2, and American Mary. The acting is first rate, the storyline keeps you interested, the characters well developed so you can't help but related to some of the craziest things they come up with (stopping short of killing someone ofc). Mila Kunis is perfect for this role. Amazing how she can kept a straight face at times, with the occasional look she gives in a few scenes where you wonder what she's thinking, that "I know something, bet you wish you knew" look, or even that look that makes you feel like she has you under a microscope, I can't help but laugh. I Love this movie and I am sure you will too.

People expecting American Psycho 2 to be a horror movie will be most unhappy. I, on the other hand, enjoyed watching a movie that was not sadly predictable, and was not as irritatingly weird as "1" was. I like Mila Kunis' serial killer so much better than Patrick Bateman; I mean, we never really know who the "hero's" name is! The premise is interesting, as well. Imagine a serial killer who's main goal is to stop serial killers. "Rachel Newman," or whatever her name was, knew what her goals were, and achieved them, and the story was funny and full of quirks along the way. Now, I'm not going to give it 5-stars, but a solid 4-stars will do for this good film.

This is the female version of American Psycho...this is not for the faint of heart and yet I watched the film. Some people love this kind of movie. I will make you think.

==SPOILER WARNING== "American Psycho 2" is one of those sequels that people either love or hate, and only rarely based upon the quality of the actual film. A much-repeated phrase is "this would be a good movie with a different title". Huh? I never quite understood that way of thinking. It reminds me of the opinions I got from people who were fans of the rock band the Doors. After the singer Jim Morrison died the Doors continued for two more albums that hardly anyone wants to listen to. Why? "the Doors without Morrison? forget it". As if the only records in the universe worth listening to are ones with that particular singer. Once I made that point the illogic of their argument was revealed and they listened to the two albums and really liked them. Good music is good music. Same here. This movie wouldn't be any better or worse with a different title. I feel "American Psycho 2" (not all prints carry the subtitle "All American Girl") is almost the equal of it's predecessor. And not only for actually confirming that Bateman did indeed kill at least *some* people, but for the film's point of view. While the first movie was a stunning and biting satire of self-obsessed yuppies, "2" is aiming at the college crowd, the vapid kids with a frightening sense of entitlement and sum-zero convictions. The psycho Rachel here is somehow even more bizarrely sympathetic than Patrick, to a point, even with there being no true ambiguity as to the sequence of events. After the murder of a billionaire's son we know it's Rachel behind the killing, yet it doesn't take away from the narrative. Two unexpected and satisfying twists aside, there's no mystery here; the brilliance is entirely in it's own universe and following it's own catharsis. To condemn "American Psycho 2" for it's somewhat stilted commercial construction and gaps in logic is missing the point entirely. This is a great film. It's not pretentious in presenting itself as a sequel because it really does fit- Bateman would be proud. Or not. If the idea of a sequel nags at you, call it something else. If the revelation that Bateman was a serial killer is worrisome, then I guess the premise of "American Psycho 2" is just insurmountable. Skip it. But you're missing out on a terrific film.

First of all, everybody says this movie is "grade A" stupid and wasn't worth making, but I beg to differ. In my opinion, those who say it is worthless, just don't get it. This movie is not meant to be like the first one. In fact, it wasn't even meant to be the seqeul at all... until they changed around the script a little bit and slapped the american psycho 2 name on it. I for one enjoyed this movie and only the ones who like unrealistic, kind of independent filmish, slasher- thriller movies will appreciate it for what it really is. Several young actresses (like Mila Kunis) get their first leading roles in films like this one. Mila had to do something other than act like a completely conceited airhead on That 70's Show. If you liked this movie, i would suggest you consider watching these movies also: Devil in the Flesh, Devil in the Flesh 2, and Freeway.

I loved this movie, Its dark, sexy, and funny. Mila Kunis is wonderful in her role and stunningly beautiful. William Shatner does s superb job as the professor and I grew up with his films so it was fun to watch him. The score is awesome, one the the best things about the film is the music. and lst but not least it does not have the highly "annoying" Christian Bale. I find this film Independent with a bit of Originality

Every now and then movie #2 is better than the 1st, this is one of those times! Even though I did love the 1st "American Psycho", the 2nd was much, much better! "That 70's Show" "Jackie" (Mila Kunis) does a top notch job playing a twisted, psycho, murderer! Have seen the movie numerous times & will continue to watch it over & over.

shipping rapide et abordable , qualité de l'emballage et du dvd excellent. La seule chose c'est que moi je suis en amérique et que le zonage ( codage du dvd ) n'est pas compatible dans ma région donc , impossible de lire le dvd.

Nothing to dislike

Non comparatelo ad American Psycho. Nonostante si tratti comunque di un mix tra thriller e commedia dark (qui molto teen), Il film non c'entrava nulla con la storia di Patrick Bateman, infatti fu scritto e inizialmente girato con un'altro titolo, poi i produttori per far soldi facili decisero di intitolarlo così, facendo rigirare e riscrivere alcune scene per giustificarlo come sequel. Ovviamente fu massacrato da critica e fan del film, il che è un peccato perché personalmente lo trovo molto bello. La storia è semplice ed efficace e la bellissima e talentuosa Mila Kunis, conferisce inaspettato carisma e simpatia a un personaggio dalla moralità discutibile, che stranamente piace. Poi in generale il film ha un buon ritmo, scorre piacevolmente dall'inizio alla fine divertendo. Il blu-ray offre pure alcuni graditi extra. Consigliato.
