Stabilize Wall Sockets
Contractor left openings too large and deep. These plates allowed me to pull the sockets forward and firm them up. Add spaces behind longer screws and the socket was again steady.

Product as described
The product arrived (eventually) undamaged and as described. A necessity in older houses but doesn't meet most codes

Works great
Helps provide a solid feel now versus the mushy feeling we came to find after purchasing our home. Seems the builder was using trainees since quite a few outlets were iffy.

Be careful it doesn’t arc
Be sure to tape the terminal screws. We had this arc weld when my wife tried to plug something into the outlet. Thankfully it tripped the breaker, but lots of sparks.

Only works with single gang boxes!
I like the idea of this shim, as it seems to be sturdier than the washers and other products out there designed to solve this frustratingly common problem.A huge problem is that it only works out of the box with single gang outlets! This means if you have 2 or more outlets/switches/etc. in a gang assembly, this will not work without the flange arms overlapping each other when placed side by side. This causes the exact same problem this shim is designed to fix, as the overlapping arms cause the outlet or switch to be crooked, and possible not flush, when everything is screwed down! Also, the metal is a little too thin and can flex under really crooked assemblies, or those that need to be tightened quite a bit. I'm not sure if making this thing thicker would make it impractical to shim in between stuff and have everything smoothly tightened down. The manufacturer could easily modify this thing so that you could chain them together in multi-gang outlet boxes.I've gotten them to work in multi gang setups by Dremeling off the interfering sections of the overlapping flange arms, but this adds to the work and reduces the value of this shim over other ways of fixing crooked and sunken stuff, like the washers mentioned previously.

Great shim to get the wonky feel out electrical box
Nobody seems to exactly what I needed to do and get some electrical boxes flush with my drywall. I would recommend getting a pair of tinsnips and kind of customizing them if you need to additionally you can put two of them together for a two gang box but again you’ll have to do some tinsnips the trim one of them back so that they both are flush
