It's handy to have at home. I bought this item to varnish wood egg cups. I feel better that this varnish is listed as food-safe and water-based, so I won't need extra solvent to dilute it. I also used it to touch up our dining table, where some surface varnish had worn off. I diluted the varnish and rubbed it in. It now looks new again. The 250 varnish tin is relatively small, around 3 inches tall, which is smaller than expected for the price, so it's suitable for small projects and touch-ups at home. …Ok so I just checked, the 500ml size is cheaper then the 250ml size one! So double check before buying!

Good afternoon, I would like to submit a complaint regarding the Rustins Quick Dry Varnish product recently purchased. The varnish has an abnormal consistency, with a lumpy, gel-like appearance and visible separation inside the container. When applied to wood, it does not produce a smooth and uniform finish, but instead creates an uneven and defective texture, causing rework, wasted material, and loss of time. I have attached photos showing: * The lumpy texture of the product. * The poor leveling performance of the varnish. * The defective finish produced on the wooden piece. My understanding is that this type of varnish should have a homogeneous consistency and provide a clean, smooth, and even finish, which is clearly not happening in this case. Please review this issue and let me know whether the product may be defective or in poor condition, and advise on a possible replacement or appropriate solution. I look forward to your response.

My third purchase of this product. Need I say more? Maybe next time I should just go for the larger size?!
