Presto 8-Quart Big Kettle, Steamer and Deep Fryer Multi-Cooker, Black

Thing works amazing, ive done really large batches of fried chicken, I can fit about 6-8 pieces at a time without the oil temp dropping to low, chicken comes out better than any fried chicken ive ever had in all my life! Same with homemade fries and chips, love this!

I use this thing almost every other day for Frying, w/ and without the basket. It is good for burgers, vegetables, stews, reheating and whatever else, like toasting buns for the burgers. I had an earlier model of Presto's Kettles and it lasted for several years until I noticed that the surface didn't look safe, but I decided to look to see if they had something new and they did. This kettle is huge compared to the old one that I had before and that makes the function of it even more easy to use for whatever food you are trying to cook, heat, sauté or fry. I'm hoping that this one lasts as long or longer than the old one. I wash it thoroughly after each use and the only thing that I can say about the Kettle is that the "FEET" and "HANDLES" were chipped in places, but the interior of the Kettle is flawless and I hope that it remains flawless. I haven't used it at it's highest temperature, yet, but I haven't needed to because it works great enough in the lower temperatures.

great item basket could have been a little bigger but works great

We live on a lake and eat a lot of fish. For the most-part, we are very happy with this deep fryer. It doesn't take long to heat up and does the job. It's also very easy to clean. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that it does not ever get to 400 degrees and I wish the light would change from red to green when it is at its desired temperature. Also, the lid should have a grove in it so that you can cover it when the basket is in it and your are cooking your fish.

Works great. It’s the perfect size and weight. Temperature control is good as well and it is easy to clean.

I haven't used this yet for anything but Rosettes "cookies". They came out light, delicate, looked and tasted great. I used to use solid Crisco from the can which was OK. Instead, when I bought this Presto Big Kettle, I also ordered a super large jug of Crisco Vegetable Oil from Amazon (best price around). The Crisco vegetable oil is tasteless and perfect for Rosettes. Eventually I'll try making other foods in it, but it was primarily bought for Rosettes and it's excellent. I've tried other appliances including a regular square deep basket fryer, and many years ago a stainless steel heavy deep fryer that mysteriously disappeared. I'm glad the Presto worked out better than anything else available for frying Rosettes. Presto's design is key for making Rosettes: deep sides, open top and high temp.

This fryer is super helpful when frying because it has an adjustable thermometer from 200 degrees to 400 Fahrenheit. It has a nifty warm setting too. I really enjoy using the basket to handle the contents with ease. I used to operate out of a Dutch oven on a terribly unreliable electric stove. Frying with this takes the guess work out and provides the consistency I desire. It holds a lot of oil, far more than what I generally require. The built in safety is awesome too. You can essentially take all electrical components off to wash the tub. I recommend keeping a screwdriver on hand to remove the legs whenever you decide to wash the entire thing. Since it is Non-stick, cleaning is easy as can be. Last but not least, the fryer does not scare me into being fragile when handling, it is made of quality material and will probably last me my lifetime aside from maintenance here and there.

This is the largest of the Presto Cookers. I have had the 6003 and 6006 for years. My 6006 is wearing out, the coating is fading away. I was hoping for something a little larger in capacity, and here it is. All the cookers go from a simmer to a deep fry and every temp in between. Easy to use, easy to clean, and judging by my other two, should last years.

Not designed for overseas current

Heats well, I can make large amounts of soup or chili with room to spare. Of course like any of these pots you have to pay attention to them while using however it has a low setting to accommodate. Easy to clean and not extremely heavy. Very pleased
