Excellent Wide-Angle Zoom
I'm in love with this lens. This is by far the widest lens I've ever owned, so getting introduced to the 7-14mm perspective has been pretty amazing for landscapes, the image quality is stellar, and the build quality is great. Pros: 1 - First and foremost, IQ is great. I was a little bit worried about getting a zoom over a fixed UWA lens, but since this is the top of Olympus' lens lineup in that range I was hoping the quality would be great, and it delivered in spades. 2 - Nice and small. It's still a pretty good size for a m4/3 lens, but compared to DSLR lenses it's tiny. The other day I walked about 4 miles with an E-M1/40-150/2.8 on one shoulder, and I carried this lens on my hip attached to an E-P5. The wide lens and compact camera were barely even noticeable. 3 - Manual focus clutch is super convenient. Since m4/3 lenses don't normally come with an AF/MF switch, switching to MF through the menu system is usually a pain that involves taking your eye away from the viewfinder. With the clutch right there on the focus ring, it's easy to do without looking. 4 - Weather sealing when paired with the E-M1 or E-M5 II. I've never needed this so far, but it's nice to know it's there. Cons: 1 - If you're not used to wide lenses (as I wasn't), this may come as a surprise, but you can't fit a regular lens cap or filter on this. It comes with a big saucer-looking lens cap that snaps over top of the entire hood/front lens element combo, and because the front element is curved there's nowhere to fit a filter. 2 - I'm not sure if this is just my lens, but the manual focus clutch action seems a little bit flimsy, mechanically speaking. Every now and then I'll go to slide it back, but only one side of the ring will snap back and I'll have to cajole the other side over. It's a very minor issue, but occasionally annoying. On the whole, I'm very glad to have this in my bag.

Best Lens for GH5!
If you have a Panasonic GH5, and you need a wider lense than the Leica 12-35 II; this is the lense for you. Let me just go ahead and say, Yes this is quite Expensive. However, if I could do things again, this would be the first lense I would buy. Here's why: Olympus has made this lense so sharp, it's ridiculous. It has great color, and a very solid build. I shoot a lot of realestate interiors and use it for its widest length. There is a little bit of distortion when shooting super wide and when shooting inside buildings. When shooting outside it's not as bad. Also, if you are shooting outside change your F Stop to 10 or 11 and literally everything is crystal sharp. Love this lens and super super happy with how it works! It has helped make my videos so much better expectially on the Ronin M

Excellent Olympus wide angle lens for Micro 4/3 system
I purchased this lens for use with my EM1 Mk II Camera for use on a cruise and land tour to Greece and Italy because of the tight confines of most sites we would be visiting. In a nutshell, it is a fantastic lens with excellent image resolution and speed. Along with the In body image stabilization of the camera it is a great low light lens as well. For landscapes this is a great wide angle system. In The Greek islands and Italian historical sites it made possible shots that “normal” lenses would be unable to obtain. If you need a great wide angle lens for a micro 4/3 camera, this is it. Highly recommended and worth the price.

Wonderful wide angle that is sharp and not too heavy
I purchased this in 2015 and it got a lot of use. Unfortunately, while hiking and photographing in a remote area that required some rock scrambling, I managed to bang it enough that the focus ring started to have problems. It still worked but there was clearly an issue. To let you know how much this lens has become part of my kit - I ordered a replacement. If you pursue landscape images in particular - or tight interior shots - this is a great lens.

Very Sharp Lens
I purchased this for my OM-5. So far it performs very well, even wide open. It balances very well on my OM-5. The fact that it's weather resistant is a major plus for me. My plan is to use it outdoors. Overall I'm happy with this lens.

Great Super Wide with Some Limitations
I've been looking for an amazing super wide lens to do gimbal stabilizer video work with. I have a Zhiyun Weebill Lab that can take some decent weight but is a bit limited in balancing space for front heavy camera setups. My go-to for Cinema EOS and adapted GH cameras has been my Tokina 11-20mm for APSC. With a speedbooster on the GH5, that lens is way too heavy. So I tested out three super wide native MFT mount lenses to replace it for gimbal work, with the Tokina as a baseline to compare all. Overall, it's hard to beat the tokina but the Olympus came very close in terms of functionality. Where it falters is weight, zoom ring stiffness and front filter adaptability. The optics are bar non the best of the super wide MFT zooms I tested. However this is the heaviest of them all, making the benefits over the Tokina marginal, but just enough to avoid needing counter weights. Also this lens is a pain to shoot in bright conditions with if you don't want to crank your shutter speed. You'll need to get a filter adapter, since the front element bulges out too much for standard threaded filters. This lens is great for indoor and night time shooting with the GH5S but just doesn't quite cut it for outdoor gimbal work since the goal is to avoid adding more stuff to the front to counter balance. And lastly, the zoom ring. If turning it while it's on a gimbal can make the camera roll 90 degrees to the side, it's way too tight for running and gunning gimbal work. You can throw off your horizon calibration easily with that. To adjust zoom without pushing the roll axis around, you'll need to set down your gimbal and then hold the camera body while turning the zoom ring. Not a great solution either way. So I ended up returning the lens with a heavy heart. I wanted it to work, but in the end it was more cost-efficient to just add counterweights and run with the adapted Tokina 11-20. If 2 out of the 3 above issues weren't there, then this would have been a keeper.

Excellent lens
Excellent build quality. I'll leave the sharpness debate to others, but it seems very good to me. I was astonished at the lack of distortion usually found in super-wideangle lens. You can shoot at angles above or below the horizon line with essentially no distortion. Other reviewers have complained about flaring reflections from the sun, but I have not found this problem; really folks if you aim it at the sun there will be issues... Very pleased with this lens; compares very well to Nikon professional lenses that I abandoned as too bulky and heavy.

Like the other PRO lenses
Like the other PRO lenses, this is a superb piece of glass. I use it on my E-M1 and E-M5 II bodies, where it balances well, in part because I use both with the battery grip. There is surprisingly little glare/flare effect despite that large front element, so the new coatings must be working well. In fact, I never really take the angle of the sun into account, and only adjust position after shot review/chimping. The operative adjectives are: sharp, solid, strong, professional. Unless you only shoot from a very tight perspective, you owe it to yourself to buy one. I bought mine wondering if I would get much use from it, and found I carry it constantly.

Beautifull built and superb images
The best wide angle lens I've ever owned, including many Nikon and Canons. Professional results every time. Magic.
