Installing the receiver is not really complicated but it takes time and you need someone or something to hold up one end as you bolt up the other. It's supposed to be a 1/2 hour job with two people, i think it took me 45-60 minutes by myself. I wasn't really keeping time though. **Q: Does anyone know if you can mount this upside down to gain height?** A: Yes. You get a 1/2" rise by flipping it vs a 2.5" drop not flipping it. Be warned:It's really tight. I used a Reese hitch ball wrench (pn 74342 for sale on Amazon), and some large channel lock pliers.
