**Q: how wide should the mat be?**
A: 42" wide would give you a an inch or so left to right and about 59" long or so would give you a few inches front to back. I wouldnt use a yoga type mat, get something with a few inches padding

A: Its blue painted metal

**Q: My daughter is 6 and on the taller side (4ft) will this bar be to small for her? tia**
A: Should she decide to swing underneath it, arms extended, she would need to bend her knees for sure. My son finds does not prefer it. My daughter is still small enough to swing, but is now strong/heavy enough to make the bar skip as she swings.

**Q: Does it take up a lot of space?**
A: no, its folding, i just put it in corner. not too much space.

My kids LOVE this gymnastics bar. If you have more than one kid you may want to get 2 because they will fight over it. Mine are 6 and 8 and it’s a good size for them. It stows away easily. We even pack it in the back of our truck when we’re going to the grandparents house so they can play on it with their cousins
