**Q: Could this be used to protect a painted floor?**
A: Yes. I have finished off three painted floors with this varnish. Great protection and ten months later they still look great with a good shine.

**Q: Can this be used over brillant white vinyl matt paint on a MDF door.**
A: I cant see why not it's great stuff, I made table matts and used it on them, they have stood up to a lot of abuse with not a sign of scratches. If it were me I would give it a go

**Q: Can this be used on chalk painted air dry clay coaster? Will it offer some heat protection and not be tacky as I don’t want the mugs to stick to it.**

Haven't used on clay but have on decoupage coasters and tray , used 2 coats I waited 24hrs before 2nd coat , it has heat protection.

**Q: Can i use this dead flat finish over existing polyvine satin finish without sanding down?**
A: I think so - the application instructions don't mention denibbing between coats, however, I used 2 layers of satin on my kitchen worktop, then used the dead flat finish on top, but I did sand down using a high grit sandpaper between coats just to get a smoother finish.

Caught my interest my dining table, as it is heat resistant as well. Was easy to apply with a paint brush, with quick 45 min drying time as expected. I applied 3 layers without sanding in between, but did not bother starting with 2 layers of satin before the final dead flat, as written on the container. It still seems to do the work and protect my painted table. It even helped hide some of the paint brush marks visible before applying the varnish. No distortion of the colours. Much better than the varnish i used before which ended up tacky after a few months. I will see after a few months and update the feedback if needed.
