VMC 9626 4x O'SHAUGHNESSY TREBLE HOOK 50 PACK - Coastal Black

I bought these with the intention of using them to swap out of some of the older hooks on a few of my crankbaits. I don't think they will work very well for that purpose.. The gauge of the steel they are made with is quite a bit larger than your average fishing hook, and that makes them fairly heavy, which really affects their action in the water.That being said, they are very high-quality hooks. They are very sharp. They are also truly "black" and do not reflect a lot of light.I am shore-fisherman, and I mostly fish small rivers and small lakes, so the size of them makes them a bit impractical for my purposes. If these were on my crankbaits, I would be dragging bottom and hitting snags left-and-right. They would also look very unnatural and bulky sitting under my lures.They seem as though they would be better suited for salt-water or perhaps even Larger lakes where someone may be trolling.It is a shame that they are so bulky though, because the color is exactly what I was after.I am giving a 4-star review for their quality, but I am deducting a star the fact that I am unable to use them for my original intent.

The product is fine and service is good, however too expensive.
