Custom Service Saved my Game Nights
Bought for use with more original hardware SNES. The cable arrived with a card noting potential issues with an earlier version of the cable. I was unfortunate and received a cable that was not wanting to send signal to the TV. The one time I was able to get a picture it was a bit on the blurry side, very bright, and was glitchy on the bottom of the screen. The seller responded to an email very quickly with a list of recommendations to rule out other potential causes. Once confirming the issue was with the cable the seller sent me a revised version that arrived with a few days. The seller even followed up to ensure the new cable was working after it arrived. The picture was darker when compared to the one time I had the older version of the cable working, but the image was stable with no glitching and the quality of the sprites was fantastic. Considering the conversion from such old hardware that was designed for CRT TVs, I would say the cables was doing an superb job. A+ customer service saved my experience with the product and has me rocking out nostalgia nights on my childhood favorites. While I do wish that Amazon initially shipped the revised version of the cable, the lack of comparable products on the market led me to be thankful to end up with a product that works so well.

Cleans up SNES/Super Famicom nicely
Works great. I was not able to do a "side by side" style comparison with a Rad2x but this seems competitive. I have a Super Famicom for my kids and was looking for a budget connector for their room. This works perfectly so far. No issues and it looks quite good. I am sure the Rad2x would prevail in a direct comparison but, for the price difference, I would say this wasso close as to be a killer bargain.

Great budget option; good for computer monitors.
Let me start by saying that mine arrived with an audio issue. The right audio channel would intermittently cut out. I contacted LevelHike and got a replacement without hassle, so this comes with some great customer service. Overall, this isn’t the best way to convert your consoles to HDMI, but I think it’s unbeatable for the price. Sound quality is pretty good, except for a slight static sound when no audio is playing. The image quality varies by console. I would say it’s quite good for SNES. It’s a little blurry for N64, but acceptable. For GameCube, the image was pretty dark for me even if I adjusted my display settings. I like that it’s an adapter that plugs into HDMI rather than the entire thing being an HDMI cable itself. The 4:3/16:9 switch is fantastic to have if you’re using a display that doesn’t have aspect ratio settings (I’m using a computer monitor personally). It comes with a USB cable for power but it worked without it and I didn’t notice a difference. I’m guessing it’s for situations where the HDMI connection does not deliver enough power from the display. If you want the best image quality, you will need different cables for each console, some very expensive adapters, and/or to mod the video output of your consoles. This just plugs in and works. I highly recommend this if you want to connect 3 different consoles to HDMI on a budget, and especially if your display does not have aspect ratio settings.

It works well enough
I'm not a purist, but this works quite well for what I was looking for. Compared it to using my AV receiver RCA inputs, as well as Gamestop's version of this device ($13.99 as of this writing). In my opinion, it works better than the Gamestop version (Gamestop device only outputs widescreen, which stretches the image, and also appears even more pixelated). Picture quality looked comparable to my AV receiver output, however the added switch on this device allows the image to output the original 4:3 (with black side bars), which is nice (my AV receiver was unable to output the 4:3 format, only stretched widescreen). Understandably, these are retro games, so the game image is going to be pixelated anyway, especially compared to how we remembered the older CRT's with scanlines. I don't have the Nintendo Online versions for comparison, but I imagine those will have slightly better graphics or clean-up polygons by the developer. But it's also nice not having to pay a subscription fee to play. Well worth the $30 (as of this writing) - not sure if I could justify $130, or even several hundred, for the better up-conversion devices out there that can simulate scanlines and crt pixel geometry, or options for pixel smoothing. Possible I'll want to try those later on, but for now I just wanted something to help play my old system on the newer HD TV's, and this seemed to do the trick. Happy gaming!

Awesome Product and Customer Service
Device works as soon as you plug it in, and the toggle switch for 4:3 - 16:9 aspect ratio is a nice touch. Wish it came with even a cheap USB wall charger (device can't be powered without one) but that's a minor gripe. Had an audio issue with the first one I got, but the seller sent me a second one free of charge. Very friendly and responsive service.

Decent product, quality company
What stands out most for me in this purchase is the excellent, quick, and friendly customer service offered by LevelHike. Talking to them I get the impression that they really care for their customers and want to provide a good product while building a trustworthy business. The hdmi cable is convenient but provides varying results in quality depending on the television set and console I've tried it on. On some tv sets the quality somewhat worse than my existing svideo cables, while on other sets it provided superior clean results very similar to what would be provided through higher quality svideo cables. I believe results with gamecube are a bit more uniform across the board, while snes consoles provide quite a bit of variability in video signal performance, depending on the snes unit and tv in question. The snes in general though is known to have a lot more variation in the quality of video output though, so this is to be expected. Overall I'm satisfied with the results, especially at the pricepoint. Is it flawless? No, but it really is a great solution for entry to mid level enthusiasts, at a solid price. Those expecting professional results comparable to an actual digital out (as opposed to this svid analog to digital conversion this uses) or capturing for twitch broadcasting might opt for another such device that allows them a bit more control and uniform/predictable results than this cable provides. Edit: Having inspected these cables with my 200$ sd2snes cartridge I've found that much of the visual interference and flaws I've seen before is nearly entirely due to either cheaper original or wearing capacitors on the snes, rather than these cables. This sd2snes (now known as fxpak pro) cartridge I'm testing with includes superior power filtering by bypassing the snes's levels via an onboard 100uF ceramic capacitor. This means even users expecting professional (not just entry to mid) results can get them with these cables, providing that they have an snes that has been recapped or an fkpak pro that allows you to take full advantage of these cables!

Should be cheaper with what u get...
I purchased this about a little over a year ago The picture can be a bit blurry sometimes and with the price of this I feel like the quality should be better there are times where I turned it on and it doesn't send signal to the TV, sound also. I usually have to reset or unplug it. UPDATE: completely stopped working on me I guess the lifespan of this thing is about a year and a half which sucks because you should get more out of that for 30 bucks

nice but not improving graphics quality

It corrected a lot of input lag!
Not only is the picture quality better than using composite cables to an HDMI adapter, it also fixed a lot of input lag for our previous setup. Great product!

Better than the cheaper hdmi adapters.
I own an original Super Famicom system and an N64 NTSC J model that are both modified. My HD Tv supports scart for composite signals but wanted a better picture quality for N64. Composite signals on HD tvs lead to pixel separation which make games with 3d graphics look untidy, shooters and racing games are a bit unbearable because it's hard to see long distance. The cheap HDMI adapters loose brightness and contrast, which makes Doom 64 unplayable but decent enough for SNES. I could still use the composite lead for that but wanted to see if I could get a better experience with N64 hardware. Doom 64 looked great even though I had to adjust the brightness and contrast on my TV and in dark areas I could find switches even though it's a bit darker than composite, the crosshair on Goldeneye was more solid making it easier to aim. Mario kart 64 looked amazing. This adapter doesn't upscale, but it does clean the picture quality up more than analogue signal and SNES games looked twice as better. Sometimes the audio is absent when turning on but moving the aspect ratio switch back and forth fixes it. I did some further testing, this adapter is not compatible with PAL region. Works with NTSC only.

Works perfectly!
Works 100% for N64. Very easy to set up. Some tips: 1. Set brightness and contrast to about 50% 2. Set colour to warm and about 35% - turn off all ‘processing effects’ like cinema mode, game mode etc. for N64 you want standard picture mode with no processing features switched on MAKE SURE YOU RUN TV AND DEVICE AT 4:3 picture aspect because this is same as original N64 and old TVs. Picture will not be perfect but it is decent!
