The Wyckoff Methodology in Depth (Trading and Investing Course: Advanced Technical Analysis)

5 stars. A wealth of information about price/volume structures. But, requires study. First, the book is unreadable. Like a math text. But, it can be studied. Like a math text. And with study, the book yields a great wealth of information about accumulation and distribution areas. At least that was my experience. As I struggled to read the book, it reminded me of a college differential equations text. The author was doing his absolute dead level best to be precise -- just like a math text book would. Boom! The lights came on. I stopped trying to read the book and I started studying it. A math text cannot be "read". It must be studied by doing the math. For this book that meant going to charts and trying to apply his terms such as Selling Climax and Automatic Reaction. Lots of reading and re-reading -- i.e. study -- for the terms the author described. Lots of charts marked up. Real study. I learned a lot about sideway structures. Very informative. Very useable. Already improved my trading. Highly recommended if you are willing to study the book.

The concepts behind price action and how price moves is explained in the most easy to understand way I've seen or read. The book is loaded with great information about how price moves. The only gripe is that all the illustrations are in black and white. You need the hardcover to get the color graphics. But if you are looking for a great book on technical analysis and the study of price action, this is definitely one to get. Many of the ideas behind ICT and Smart Money Trading are all in this book, spelled out in much easier to understand detail than Mr. Enigma has been able to do.

I have read many content on the subject of Wyckoff method. Pros: - I really liked that this book discussed how volume drives price. This is so crucial for every trader. I was just happy by reading the first chapter in which he discussed in details about bid and ask. If you think about it, it very well explains how really price moves in the market. - The book is comprehensive and covers all aspects of Wyckoff method (including phases, structure, tactics, etc) Cons. - The book lacks a good structure. For example, it is much more preferred if the author separates accumulation and distribution and discusses each of them separately. Instead the author present both of them together in this book which makes reading a bit boring and confusing. - The book is repetitive. - The book structure in each chapter is not good. However, each chapter is dedicated to a specific topic which is nice. - The plots in the book is not labeled and they are not referenced in the text. So you need to figure out yourself. Overall, I liked this book. I learned new things from this book and I think the confusion part may also help you to think about the topic more deeply.

This will likely be the most impactful of all of the trading books I’ve read. It will change the way you view the markets and trade them. This book helps you understand how the big players move, and how to spot their games. I will help give you a specific structure to look for, explanations of what is happening at every stage and how to play them. The instructions are detailed, the charts are top notch.

This book and methodology builds its strategies on core metaphysical principles and truths that will stand the test of time and if followed carefully will turn any person who wants to have an edge in the market into a successful long term trader along with great risk management.

The Wyckoff Methodology in Depth didn’t just teach me technical analysis, it rewired my brain. I went from guessing at candles to seeing market structure like Neo in the Matrix. It’s dense, detailed, and worth every penny. Now I look at charts and actually understand what’s happening instead of praying to the trading gods.

Before- I read 'trades about to happen' and 'charting the stock market: the wyckoff method'. and I thought I should pass about buying this newer book as well, because it is less famous (something i think, that will change with time). but in the end - I decided to buy this book as well, and I am very happy I did- I have to say Ruben took things to a whole new level - and that his book is much more informative, clear, and learnable- the concepts are presented in much more full well so u can understand the whole picture better. I think Ruben is really good writer! beside all the knowledge he has. and I look forward for his next book, to learn more from him!

The so called free video in the book never work. It takes your email and never send you the link for videos. So far I don’t see any useful information yet. Very wordy without images to explain.

This is the second in a series of three books on investing by RV Chaves. I bought it because I want to retire and my pension isn’t enough to live on so I am looking for a way to boost my income before I blow all my savings. The first book in the series, Trading & Investing For Beginners, gives you a good grounding in investing in a wide range of markets and doing so in such a way that with a lot of effort and a lot of discipline, you can make a decent living from investing, or at least pay the bills. This second book takes us into the heart of the Wykoff Methodology, which is the author’s special area of expertise. Richard Wykoff was a trader in New York who died in 1934. Nearly a century ago he developed a system whereby the small retail trader could track what the big players – the market movers – are doing and copy them. This book shows in detail how you can study charts (preferably charts showing price and volume of the share or currency etc that you’re interested in) and determine what the big players are doing and what impact that will have on the price. The key is identifying when their activities are going to lead to a trend. That is when the price moves steadily up or down for a period. That is when you want to jump on and enjoy the ride. Crucially, the author also shows you when to jump off. The safest if not the best place to jump off. This book has a lot of complicated information and unless you’re already familiar with the markets, it is worth reading the first book in the series before you tackle this one. It’s also self-published, which means that some of the graphs and tables are not very clear, especially the tables, which I suspect were originally in colour but are printed in monochrome. It is best to read the book through once to understand the contents, then use it with books one and three in the series to develop your trading strategy and – very important this – your trading journal. I recommend this book and the others in the series because for about sixty-five quid you are getting a training course that others are charging four figures for.

Eu já havia lido um outro livro sobre a método do Wyckoff, mas esse realmente foi muito melhor, trouxe uma abordagem mais profunda e mais explicada de como esse método funciona. Não te entrega nenhuma setup (óbvio), mas te faz enxergar os mercados de forma mais objetiva e analítica. Esse livro é uma leitura essencial para quem deseja se aprofundar nos estudo do price action e principalmente nas fases que o mercado se encontra em consolidação (ranges).

This book will make you see the market differently as it will give you more clarity into trading ranges dynamics which will allow you to better time your entries in trends.

El libro está muy bien redactado y para mí es un buen punto de referencia de cómo funciona la metodología Wyckoff. Una lectura muy recomendable por el precio que tiene.
