I taped it under a small table, and attached a USB battery to it. It ran for 3 hours on that, and lit up my display decently. The battery I used was large, and it used up 80% of its charge in those 3 hours. Note - the directions do NOT recommend using a battery, but a power cord to the wall power... but I'm a rebel. It worked well for me.It has 2 settings, a low and a high. The low is pretty low. I had to use the high. In a small room, it worked great. When I was outdoors at our event, I had to have it pretty close to my display (~2m) or else the white light surrounding me would drown it out. This is not very bright, not very powerful. If you need powerful stuff, go get something large.
