does it contain cocoa butter?

100% cacao would have cocoa butter in it. It's a natural part of the beans/nibs. It's why, for example, if you put raw nibs through a grinder you will eventually start seeing the cocoa butter coming out as it becomes pure "chocolate". They won't grind down into a powder because of the presence of the cocoa butter. HTH.

my old recipe calls for one squareof choc..How does that compare to the new packaging of four flat pieces?

One square = one ounce. The old recipes were based on the old style packages of 8 ounces with each ounce individually wrapped. Now you will use 1/4 of the 4oz package for one square.

What are all of the references to coconut? That is worrisome

You can but chocolate OR coconut in the same place (see buying options). Some people are reviewing the coconut flakes, and some are reviewing the chocolate.... The chocolate does not have any coconut in it ☺️

Makes the best brownies

Exactly what I was looking for to make brownies. The updated packaging does not have the single bowl brownie recipe on it anymore but you can find it online. Best chocolate to buy to make chocolate icing or brownies!! If you use old recipes make sure to go by ounces, not squares. Very hard unsweetened chocolate squares that is best used for melting. Difficult to cut because it is naturally hard so be careful. I swear by this brand!

El producto llegó en mal estado pese a que la fecha de caducidad es correcta. Se hace polvo y tiene un color opaco y claro, aunque el centro es del color que debe de ser, como cuando el chocolate se hace viejo. Quizá es que no se ha almacenado correctamente, pero tuve que tirarlo a la basura.
