I have realized that I much prefer a non-portfolio case for my tablets. I had to wait to get this one, and it was worth it. The Yoga Tab has its own kickstand, so it doesn't need a case that can provide that functionality. I just don't like the portfolio style with the cover having to be managed when it is open and I am holding the tablet. I have a case to put it in for traveling. I wanted something that would provide some protection around the edges and might help if it takes a tumble much like my phone case does. This does the trick. Openings are where they should be for ports. Buttons work fine.

This case is great. It has def. helped keep our Lenovo tablet safe. My daughter uses it every day and its so easy to clean off as well. I love the pink color. Its very bright and vibrant.

I'm... rough on tech. My "old device" box is a horror-show of mutilated devices. So when I bought my Yoga Smart Tab, a device that by its very nature would be moved all over the house, and to the back patio, even going on field trips with me, I knew I needed something to keep it from an ugly (and likely swift) death. Well, there aren't a lot of options, but this one seemed to fit the bill. Not the looks are personal taste. Personally, I like the bright purple, and the thick bulgy design. You might not. But aside from asthetics, let me tell you why. 1) It's MUCH harder for someont to steal a device that stands out this much. It's SO NOTICEABLE. 2) My last Yoga Tab (a Yoga Tab 2) suffered a nasy drop onto its corner that cracked the screen. The corners of thisa case are EXTRA padded for exactly this reason. I've dropped this table (more than once) onto a corner, and it's still mint. 3) Screen protection! No, this case doesn't cover the screen, but it does stick out in front of the screen a fair bit. While you could still drop your tablet face-down onto a pointy rock or something, floors and sidewalks pose no threat. I literally dropped my tablet face-down onto a concrete floor 2 days ago, wiped the dust off the case, and went about my day. This would DEFINITELY have killed screen otherwise. 4) Grip! One thing about the Yoga Tabs, they are a bit slipperly. Not crazy greased-up-glass slippery, but not exactly grippy either. Until this case. Now it's supper grippy! This means less drops (but not no drops in my case - did I mention I'm rough on my tech). If you like how this thing looks, or if you just really don't want to break your tablet, buy it. It's cheap insurance.
