Great way to replace a bathroom fan!
I have not installed this product yet, but have no reservation as to what it can do. I'm sure it will be great! I do wish that the plastic ceiling grille was made lager, so that I would not have to patch the ceiling around it! The cover/unit originally there was larger and as a result I will have to fill in that opening not being covered. Just extra work, but not the end of the world as long as you know how to patch wall board!

Disappointing Built-In Damper
I'm using this for a special ventilation project in my daughter's bedroom since we like to close the door but still want to be able to pull in fresh air. Since this unit mates easily to a stand-alone fan (which can pull much higher CFM than any standard bathroom fan), I like the concept of this simple box. But it's a real disappointment that they use such a low-quality damper. There is probably a 2mm gap all around the damper and the outside of the 6" inlet, which means another damper needs to be used somewhere in the system (and the farther it is from the box, the more heat transfer with the attic).
