This is the 2nd lard/tallow container I've purchased. This one is a really nice size, possibly big enough to hold all the grease from my deep fryer so I can store it for re-use. It is well made, well designed, sturdy, I love it.

My family loves me to make fried chicken or chicken fried steak for them, however replacing the oil every time is not only expensive but also not really necessary. I wanted something to strain and store the oil and looked at several strainer cans. I decided to this one for several reasons. One reason was the size, it holds a good amount of oil and is easily big enough to hold the amount of oil I needed it to. It is sturdy yet light enough to be easy to use (even for people who can't lift much weight). The lid keeps anything from getting in the oil and the strainer strains the larger particles from the oil. The tray that comes with it helps catch and contain any drips keeping the counter clean. Now here is something I never thought about but the designer did, there is a small grate in the bottom that helps hold any of the smaller particulates in the bottom of the can. I can say that I am quite pleased with this strainer.

Works well and is sturdy enough for non-commercial use. Strainer is good to catch coarse bits (don't expect the fine mud to be caught). Lid isn't airtight, but will help preserve oil and keep it dry. Saucer base keeps drips at bay. Good all-around for what a grease-saving container should be.

I bought with hesitance because it doesn't look like it would hold much oil. I was pleasantly surprised that not only does it hold a ton of oil, it also comes with a plate for the bottom so you won't burn your countertop and the strainer is phenomenal!! I deep-fried some lumpia and was worried I couldn't reuse the oil in the future due to some flakes and pieces in the oil. Once I poured the oil through the strainer even the tiniest specks of flake were on the strainer and the oil was clean as can be. There are lips and handles so there no way for you to get burned or touch anything hot. Whoever designed it was definitely on the money. It is affordable, useful, and well-crafted. I would definitely recommend it!!

Was so happy when this arrived, the screen mesh captures more than I thought was ended up in my grease. Size is good, quality seems great. No worries about cheap material. Design is great and very versatile and easy to use

I cook a lot so this is wonderful as it fits in my refrigerator without taking up to much space Made well and it light weighted. Perfect size for any kitchen

Solid product 💯

I was looking for a way of straining used cooking oil and putting it back into the bottle after deep frying. While looking for a funnel/sieve combination, I found this which was obviously designed specifically for this job. Although I wasn't expecting to pay this much to solve a simple problem, I don't regret if for a moment. You can simply decant the still hot oil through a very fine detachable mesh into this pot and pour accurately back into the original container when cooled down. You could leave it in the pot until the next use but it is not completely airtight and I hate the smell of used cooking oil. The pot itself is not as heavy as you might expect. The metal is quite thin and light but not flimsy. It sits on a small saucer to catch any drips. Its two-litre capacity easily takes all the oil from my deep fryer. The filter is incredibly fine and easily catches any visible particle such as breadcrumbs. By removing all potentially carcinogenic burnt particles, it significantly adds to the lifetime of the oil. Cleanup is a breeze too as the pot and removable filter are dishwasher safe. The instructions warn that you may want to use a hairdryer to thoroughly dry the filter which may be a good idea if handwashing but isn't necessary if your dishwasher has an effective drying cycle.

Ich habe die Kanne erhalten und aufgrund der negativen Bewertungen erst einmal begutachtet. Das Ergebnis war sehr zufriedenstellend: Keine Kratzer, keine Dellen, alles dran, nichts musste zunächst mal verschraubt werden. Dann habe ich 2,5 l Palmkernöl aus meiner Fritteuse gereinigt. Die Prozedur dauerte keine zehn Minuten. Die groben Bestandteile wurden restlos herausgesiebt feine Teile aber nicht, da muss ich wohl noch einmal mit einem Kaffeefilter ran. Allerdings war das Frittiergut nicht "ohne" (Süßkartoffelpommes, bestäubt mit Speisestärke und Paprika). Das Reinigen ging dann recht einfach, ich werde es aber in der Geschirrspülmaschine wiederholen. Für mich ist diese Kanne/dieser Topf ein wertvolles Hilfsmittel zu einem attraktiven Preis.

I have waited for long for this item to arrive and now I use it constantly. Every time I use, I say to myself what I best buy that was. It is a very nice sized, very handy, stores oil properly and easy to clean. I love it and would recommend highly. it was worth the wait.
