Komi Can't Communicate, Vol. 7

Volume 7 of Komi Can't Communicate continues the daily lives of Shoko Komi, a teenager with abysmal social skills, and her friends. This volume, which contains chapters 86 through 99, mainly takes place around the holidays of Christmas and New Year's. As with the previous volumes of this series, I found volume 7 to be enjoyable for the same reasons. At this point in the series, the story has built up a good number of characters in addition to the core of Komi, Tadano, and Najimi. This has allowed for more types of humor from the various types of personalities involved. As this volume takes place around the holidays, part of the story involves Christmas shopping and get-togethers. In addition, there are more hints of the romance between Komi and Tadano as their friendship continues to develop. Just like the previous volumes as well, the artwork continues to be excellent here. This goes from the expressive and varied characters and detailed backgrounds in all situations. Overall, this was another enjoyable volume of Komi Can't Communicate. If you enjoyed the series so far, you will enjoy this.

Another great volume and another good addition to the series!

I 1st want to say that I LOVE that one of the main characters is trans, AND that neither the author, nor other characters, make a scene about, nor pander to it. This manga shows that trans people, even teens, can be loved, and ARE loved! There's a few more hints that Komi & Tadano have feelings for each other, especially on Komi's side. She's gorgeous, which throws off "Average Joe" Tadano, who doesn't realize that Komi ADORES him. Plus snowball fights, shopping, and a Christmas party. Lots of fun. Art, excellent. Dialogue, very good. Characters, believable & lovable.

I've been in the manga/anime game since the 90s, so I like to think I have a pretty solid repertoire of knowledge. I was seeing this series continually pop up, and after deVOURING the first volume, I burned through all the rest in about 1.5 days. This is probably one of my favorite series. Its an extremely well done slice of life, but unlike others, the pacing doesn't drag. The characters remain quirky and delightful, and Komi remains absolutely charming in her bashfulness. I really can't wait to continue this series - its like sipping on cocoa or relaxing in a tub...just utterly soothing. I def recommend this to anyone that wants a light, lovely and easy read.

My daughter loved it and want the collection. Got her interested in reading more instead of being on phone all the time. Will be ordering the rest of books.

Gotta love komi, It's one of the most entertaining SoL manga that I read, I love the comedy, Characters, references and the overall vibe of the manga. The only thing that makes me not give it a 5 star review is the sheer lack of progress in the relationship of the main characters. Also, Great price, Fast shipping and excellent condition.

Aside from the awesome comedy and art style and the great pacing of this manga series, I like so much the character development between Tadano and Komi (aka the two main characters). Can't wait to read the next volume. Of course buy this volume too !!!!!!!!!

My daughter reads this series and it's so much cheaper buying them via Amazon than at the store. They are in perfect condition and super fast postage!
