BILCO Size C Basement Door (Gray)

Bought this to replace 45-year-old Bilco Doors that were in need of replacement. Doors were cheaper than the local box stores and were delivered by a large truck in a very protective box fasten to a wooden create. Would definitely recommend Bilco as they are the premium door and they are package to protect the product from damage.

Great product. Delivered on time and everything in order and in excellent shape. I replaced my old bulkhead with this new one and it looks great. Saved a bundle over having a contractor do it!

Excellent product, easy to install, and very, very sturdy! The doors open easily and with the pneumatic tube attached, are a 'soft closure', so no noise when closing.

Overall I'm pleased with the quality of my Bilco door. However, I'm a little disappointed that it won't close completely. It will latch but it still not as tight as I think it should be, as can be seen in pic. Should that much light be able to get in? I feel that there shouldn't be such a large gap. I even purchased the weather stripping kit thinking that would help....it did not.

nice door was delivered on time, the old Bilco door was 40 years old and needed to be replaced, still make the same size door, with a couple of upgrades. the gas cylinders does make it easier to open and close door.

The claim that it is "Primed and ready for paint" is laughable. The amount of time to prep this for paint was way longer than it should be. The primer has runs all over the place that needed to be scraped off and sanded. There were some spots where the primer was bubbled that I had to take down to bare metal and reprime. There were spalls from welding all over the place that I had to knock off or grind off. I hope the welders at the factory are better than the painters. Haven't installed it yet so we'll see how well that goes and adjust the review as necessary. Very disappointing considering the price of this.

Covered a stairwell Door keeps out debris and is sealed to be water tight.

They took a while but arrived in good condition. Factory packaging is well padded and strong, considering this typically arrives by common freight. Amazon only had one color, but that's fine, they can be painted.
