Bright light, very quiet, easy to install
Great light and fan to go in a shower stall, even though it isn't much to look at. I was worried that the light would be too dim or would not cast the light wide enough, but it lit our shower stall very well. Note that the light is LED, but it is a very yellow color, so keep that in mind if you prefer the daylight color. The fan is incredibly quiet and still move a lot of air. The fan does start up slowly as others mentioned, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. There is a green light that turns on when the fan is on, probably so that you know it is running. I honestly could not tell it was running the first time until it had reached full speed. Installation was typical for an exhaust fan. You can screw it to a rafters or you can use the included braces to hang it between 2 rafters. We did both to keep it from vibrating later on. I wish the ul listed fans looked a bit nicer, but at least this one works very well.

Major improvement from old bathroom exhaust fan
Major improvement from old bathroom exhaust fan. Noise level is very low and the LED light brightness and color temperature is excellent. Installation took about an hour if you have good handyman skills and proper tools. Installation required enlarging ceiling opening about one inch and replacing the existing 3 inch diameter metal duct with a 4 inch. But the results was worth the work. Watch before and after video.

A good quiet fan.
This is a pretty nice fan for the price. I installed this fan in a new ceiling with no access from the top so when/if it breaks I'm going to hate myself but it seems only the cheap junk fans allow installation from below. It ventilates well and the light is brighter than I thought it would be but not too bright. For those complaining about the noise: it's not your fan; it's your ducting. If you don't believe me then run the fan with no ducting attached and then with the ducting attached. It will likely make a big difference. Now I know most people can't change the ducting but you probably should. You really want the outlet for the fan pointing in the same direction as your ducting run. An elbow put on the fan outlet will increase the noise dramatically. I know this because that's what I did and was unhappy and so I changed it. I'm happy now. You also want to use smooth metal duct if at all possible. If you can't, use flexible metal as your second choice and plastic flex as a last resort. Keep the run as absolutely straight and short as possible. 80 cfm is kind of pushing the limit on 4" duct for very long runs. The runs need to be extremely short if you need one or two elbows. Forget about it if you need more than that - go to 5" or 6" and use an adapter on the fan outlet to go bigger. Make the wall cap the same size as the ducting if at all possible.

Great, except for one needed modification...
Good quality fan, looks good, nice light, very quiet, and I was able to reduce the duct size to 3 inch, which was installed when the house was built. And it still operates well and quietly with the duct size reduction. I did need to remove a slightly larger section of drywall ceiling to make all of the electrical and duct connections, but was able to patch it back suitably so that it isn't noticeable. One problem is that the plastic duct connection outlet containing the damper comes off of the fan enclosure body very easily. So easily, that I had trouble keeping it in place with the slightest movement from the duct. I ended up adding a strap and couple screws through it in to the fan enclosure to hold it in place. That wasn't easy however, since I had to be careful to locate the screws in a location that wouldn't impede the operation of the damper or fan. That may have voided the warranty as well. Seems like a fix is needed at the design level. The tiny metal tabs designed for the purpose don't do the job. Otherwise I like the fan, and it works flawlessly.

Great Value, Quiet, Like It
I think this fan is an excellent value. It is quiet and the LED light is warm (not blue-tinted) and bright enough to handle a small/medium bathroom. The sound it makes disappears once the shower water is on and isn't particularly noticeable otherwise - kind of like hearing an airplane at altitude far, far away in the distance. I like how the fan gradually spins up, which makes it less noticeable and I'd bet prolongs its life. The LED light, like all LED lights, takes a brief millisecond to turn on, which to some may be weird... but that's normal. Wish it came with a 4" to 3" adapter. I installed this in my loft building and the idiots who renovated the warehouse used 3" bathroom vent piping for the jet engine fan they originally installed. I have no issues venting through a 3" pipe with this unit, you can feel the air moving, but it is supposed to have a 4" pipe. I had to get the metal step down adapter from the hardware store. Don't get the plastic stepped ones, which are really intended to be "expanders". If you use one of those to reduce, you'll be met with a bunch of air resistance due to the hard-stepped design of those. Need a cone shape. Overall, I recommend this fan as an unbeatable value. I've installed three now without a single issue.

Great service
My fan did not work when I installed it. The light worked fine, but the fan did not. There is a green LED that blinks when there is some problem with the fan, and that's what happened for me. I was only able to get it to work for only a few seconds by manually spinning it with the power on. I called customer service and they were very helpful. They mailed a new product with a shipping label for me to return the old one; no charge. The new fan works great. Initially, I was concerned that it did not seem to be moving much air, and I was thinking it is so quiet because it isn't really doing much. However, it does pass the tissue test. When I held a tissue up to the fan, it stayed on the grill. I removed the tissue and left the fan running. Next I went up into the attic to connect the flexible exhaust pipe, and there I found that it does indeed move quite a bit of air. The air flow was pretty solid, and much quieter than my old fan.

Good light, very quite
This is a good looking, well made exhaust fan with a really good LED light. It really helped light our bathrooms (we bought one for each) and is very quiet. The fan seems to start slowly and pick up speed as it removes moist air, but it remains so much quieter then the old builder grade fan we had. Installation was relatively easy, but that would depend on the existing fan installation and duct work. The LED light outputs 850 lumens so it is equivalent to a traditional 60 watt light. Really nice.

Extremely quiet
I put in a new hing ceiling which totally sucks, but installing the Light/Fan combo was very easy. You can install it so that it sits just above the tile, put the tile in place then cut you tile using the fan box as the guide. The light is bright and the fan is extremely quiet....I am very impressed. Once you switch on the fan it takes about 3 seconds to come up to speed. At 6 feet away I can barley hear it running. I just turned 60 this year so maybe that helps!!!! Best fan light combo I have ever installed, easy install, bright light and extremely quiet.
