Great Headphone and Audio Quality
The best Headphones I have used. Great design, great audio quality. The cord is long enough, not too short nor too long, and is flat cord, so, less knots. The buttons, in this case, buttons, the volume buttons are not working on my Moto E LTE with Android 5.1, I don't know if this is because of the music player app or the OS, or the device. But this is not a must have for me. About the sound quality, it's great, every sound the headphones make is great, bass, trebles. I usually listen to rock, and you can listen the guitars, the bass, drums, voices, all sounds clear, and have a nice passive noise cancelling property. I have used them for hours without noticing they are there, they don't bother, I feel no pain in my ear while wearing them, they are slim and don't make any pressure, I use them with the smaller buds, they come with four set of ear buds to fit every need. I recommend this headphones to everyone who wants a great sound quality and a cool design.

Cables don't tangle so much; MICROPHONE; great sound.
Overall, including sound quality, a 5 star product BUT sound quality is closer to a 4 or a 4.5. These get my 5 start thumbs up because they are generally $10 cheaper than Sound Magic E10's (which don't come with a microphone), and about $30-$50 cheaper than better known (more widely advertised and reviewed) products like Klipsch and V-Moda. Those are all 5 or 5+ Stars but cost a lot more (except the Sound Magic E10's). Sound Magic E10, and V-Moda, Klipsch S4, and Apple's own EarPods (the new ones, when held in by your finger tips for a good, solid canal seal only) are what I would call a "5" in terms of sound quality for non-audiophile use. There are plenty of audiophile level earphones to choose from these days, but almost none under $100. I recommend Googling for audio reviews in Absolute Sound and other trusted audiophile magazines/websites/blogs if that is the way you want to go. But if you want a rocking good musical experience with "as recorded" bass levels with iTunes AAC+ (iTunes Match, also iTunes current download quality) on albums "remastered for iTunes"), these deliver at a great ($25-$30) price point. The only others to consider at this price point are Sound Magic E10's, which I like a little better BUT the cables on these Jax are flat and don't tangle for everyday use, while the E10 cables are the usually round, get twisted affairs. If you don't know where to start and are ready to move up beyond the Skull Candy etc. level, I strongly recommend you visit an Apple Store, or even read the online Apple customer reviews of the stuff they stock. Apple is pretty selective about what they stock, and if you start there then read Amazon reviews, you will get a good sense of what works well. Then circle back to these Jax reviews and see if you can't get just a little better (or equal) sound quality for less money here. Two final caveats: Apple Stores generally carry bass-enhanced (Dr. Dre "Beats") and utterly neutral (Bower & Wilkins). You should probably audition both extremes with your own music player as part of your shopping. Some Skull Candy have bass-enhancement at a much lower price; most mid-priced earphones like these are aiming at "neutrality" but if they can't get that due to engineering to cost limitations, they try to nail the midrange.

Sound is superb!
I have become a pretty dedicated Sol Republic fan when it comes to my music and sound. When I purchased this item, I had a good idea of what to expect based upon other reviews and it came just as I thought it would be. For the cheap price of about $30, the material quality of these headphones aren't 100%. Needless to say, the cord is a soft and smooth plastic, so it was good enough for me. But the sound? The sound is amazing. I am a big fan of bass, and I have to say that the bass in these headphones are really superb. I also enjoy listening to a lot more acoustic and relaxed music, which some claimed sounded terrible on these, but I found nothing wrong. Everything was really clear to me. Overall, I think it was a great buy. They still look very stylish no matter how they feel, and as with anything you purchase, they will last a solid amount of time as long as you take care of them. If you want good sound for a cheap price, these are the headphones to get.

Less than 2 months in and they already broke
I received the headphones at the end of August. One day, early October, at work they are working and on my way home all of a sudden they are broken. The price is nice and the sound is good....while they work. I use my headphones daily, so not sure what kind of experience people are having with less usage, but I've never had a pair break on me this quick. Usually they break on me because I use them when it's raining and the water damage gets them. I haven't even had the chance to do that with these! Could be my headphones were lemons since I haven't read similar experiences but I won't be buying these again. The search for good headphones that last at least a year continues....

Great, affordable buds
The rubber material and flat shape of these cords prevents them from getting tangled up, which makes them great for places like the gym. That means that they also snag easily when they brush other materials, as the rubber doesn't slide against things, but generally this is a good thing. The sound quality is pretty good, too. The cords stick out at a slightly odd angle for me, I'd rather they hang straight down. The big weak point is the volume control in the middle of the cord. It's made of seemingly cheap plastic and the edges snag easily on things. I've had these for a couple months, no problem, but I'm just waiting for that volume piece to get broken...I can see it coming. Overall, however, I'm pretty pleased with these!

Great in-ear replacements for stock Apple EarBuds
I've been listening to these since they arrived an hour ago. They have great sound quality with a strong, crisp bass response. Much better than the Apple Earbuds I had before. They fit comfortably after changing the ear tips to fit my ears. The 3-button remote / microphone works as promised, just like the one on Apple's basic EarBuds. Because they're in-ear, they do a decent job of noise isolation - good enough to block out my noisy coworkers, at least :) They look stylish and I'm really happy that they have a flat cable. It's not completely tangle free, but it's a lot better than most. All in all, these are a great pair of headphones considering their $40 price tag!

Ok headphones, but does not work with nokia lumia 920
The sounds quality isn't really anything special for the price. I can buy a $7 pair with better sounds quality over on monoprice.com (monoprice brand). What I really bought this for was for the mic and music control. Here is what their website says: " Jump to Navigation Home Search form Search . Shop Headphones Saviors of Sound Culture SOLdiers . Headphone Compatibility SOL REPUBLIC Headphone Compatibility Want to know if your phone will work with our headphones? Good – you’ve come to the right place. We’ve put together a quick video and have an explanation below. Audio Compatibility SOL REPUBLIC headphones and Cleartalk™ cables support audio on almost any device that uses a 3.5mm jack. 3-Button Mic + Music Control: Lets you adjust the volume, pause/resume/skip music and answer/hang-up calls. The high clarity mic captures every word possible. 3-button mic + music control is designed specifcally for full feature compatiblity with recent generations of Apple devices. The audio and mic are likely to work with most devices that have a 3.5mm jack, including but not limited, to Android, Blackberry and WIndows devices. Single Button Mic + Music Control: Has all the features of the 3-button except for adjusting the volume. Cleartalk™ cables only come with single button mic + music control. Single button mic + music control is designed for full feature compatiblity with a wide range of devices, including but not limited to, recent generations of Apple, Android, Blackberry and Windows devices." Notice, it says recent generations of windows devices. Ignore that part. Only the play/pause button works and the mic doesn't work at all for most functions (onenote recording, voice recognition, text dictation to name a few).

great value and quality
pros: they look great the remote is pretty small considering all it packs sound quality is nice, the bass really thumps cons no, it doesn't work on android the straight jack is a little annoying, wouldve preffered an angled one. for the android user, the play/pause button works to pause music and dial a call, but I can't resume playing. holding it down launches google now and the microphone function. It's finnicky to say the least. android specifications for 3 remote mics require resistors soldered between the buttons so the device can work out based on voltage which button is being pressed. there are some people saying that you can manually solder in resistors which I may try. I will update with a result if I do.
