This is the one and only slip skirt you need. It’s simple, comfortable, and affordable. The fabric is thin and silky, but it still provides just the right coverage. The shorter length is perfect with any skirt or dress. I’ve owned this same slip since I was in high school. I’m nearly 30 now, and I wear this slip nearly every time I wear a dress or skirt (which for me is about once a week on average). I wash on a normal cycle with like colors and air dry regularly, and it’s still in perfect condition. The only reason I ordered a new one is because I somehow misplaced my old reliable one, and we had family photos scheduled for the weekend. This one came in quickly and saved me from stressing over a wardrobe malfunction.

This slip appears to be of good quality and fits as described. I have washed it with no issues. I like that there is only a small elastic band at the top. I have a large post-menopausal belly and wide-band elastic rolls on me. I wear it for modesty under dresses and skirts.

I usually wear a medium size slip, but paid attention to the advice about this slip running small. I ordered a large instead, and it fit perfectly. So happy with the quality. Can’t beat Vanity Fair in my opinion!

I wear a slip almost everyday and have at least 40 half slips - most Vanity Fair. Some are so old now and needed replacing. The elastic eventually starts to give-out, which is not unexpected. Again, my slips see a lot of daily use but have lasted for years ( at least a decade.) These slips were on-offer at a great price so I chose the 28” slips in multiples of black, beige, and white. The sizing guide was accurate and the slips fit comfortably. They are sewn well. I didn't measure the accuracy of the length, since most of my dresses are midi or longer. The one little problem is that the fabric isn’t the same as it used to be - not nearly as “slinky” or as drapey-smooth as my older VF slips. The older slips were “silkier.” The fabric of the new slips is stiffer, slightly rougher. In my picture the new slip is on the left and my older VF slip is on the right. In person, maybe not in the picture, I can see a subtle difference in the “weave” or texture of the fabric. Not as quite as cling-free as the older VF slips I have, especially noticeable if my hosiery is textured. I’ll keep the new slips, since they were a good price and, even with the stiffer (lesser quality?) fabric, they’ll work fine for my daily wear.

I purchased the 24" length version to wear with skirts that hit just below the knee to a few inches longer (approx. 28-30" skirts). I'm 5'9" with a 28" waist and 36" hips, and size small fit the bill for me. When pulled up to my natural waist it hits about a third of the way down my kneecap, though I'll probably use it more often with lower-rise skirts. This is a very comfortable slip, I forget I'm wearing it. As others have noted the waistband is very nice - wish there were more like it, it doesn't pouch out like slips with thinner elastic sometimes do. This is not a stricty fitted slip, it's very slightly flowy made of very soft fabric(check out the youtube video of the shorter version), but could probably work under a pencil skirt made of somewhat structured fabric.It might not work for a super-clingy dress or skirt. I have not tried it with pantyhose yet, so can't report on the static cling factor. If it helps, I generally wear a size 4 skirt at Banana or J Crew, and vacillated between getting the medium or small, due to reviewers who felt that it ran small. As it turns out, the small is plenty roomy for me - the medium would have been too large. I will probably order another one in black and also check out the shorter length to replace another with an annoying waistband. I definitely recommend giving this one a try, especially given the no-hassle return policy. 5/4/15 Addendum: I did order the black, and have been pleased with both. I hand-wash and air dry my undergarments, and these are holding up well. HOWEVER, when I ordered them they were offered in different lengths, and it was very clear in the selection process whether you were ordering the shorter or longer version. This no longer seems to be the case, and may explain why other reviewers had problems with the length. So be careful, because it's not clear now which length you will get, but if you have Prime, it's a free return if it's not right.

I'm a bit torn about this review and would have liked to have given a 3.5. I bought this slip in an XL in black. Sort of positives: I wear either an L or an XL in underwear and wanted the slip to be loose and move around because it's hot where I live (Africa) and I also want more modesty. I find it is really big for an XL, so you might want to size down, unless you're looking for a slip that's practically a dirndl. It's not too huge, though, and the elastic is stretchy so that it fits my waist size and the fabric drapes softly (but not in a clingy way, not at all!) over my hips and legs, so it won't add unwanted bulk. Sort of negatives: The fabric is really, really thin and surprisingly sheer. Luckily for me, I bought black and it is quite loose and has a lot of extra fabric. So I am hoping it will do its job (which, for me, is preventing thinner skirts or dresses from showing my legs or other particulars). On the mitigated plus side, it will definitely be cool in the heat! Once again, I chose black, and I honestly doubt that this fabric in white or beige would work (i.e. provide any amount of opacity). I haven't washed it yet, so I don't know how it will hold up. I will try to come back with an update if it falls apart. I am expecting it will hold up, though, because I have bras and panties from Vanity Fair and they are all excellent quality, so perhaps this is just a fabric that is thin, but strong. I would be shocked otherwise. Time will tell.

This is a great mid-length slip. Nice and light and will be good in the summer!

This slip was exactly what I was looking for. The length is perfect for midi length dresses and skirts. The fabric is light and doesn't stick to your dress.

It is antistatic and I went a size up for s more comfy feeling and it is perfect. The best brand for this kind of thing.
