These have no fans and no ozone smell. They need to be placed in a well ventilated area (air flow). I have one each in my living room, kitchen and bedroom. I smoke (never in the bedroom) and these take care of the residual stench. I have no lingering cooking smells, not even fish, in the kitchen. Best of all, I have noticed I am sleeping better as my sinuses stay clear (I have allergies). These are absolutely quiet (no noise at all) and small, about the size of a pack of smokes. They do emit a blue light from the top, but not enough to cause a distraction. Very effective for such a small device. I do recommend these. I leave them plugged in 24/7, and no, they are not energy hogs as they barely use any electricity. One of my better "oh why not" buys.

Yeah I didn’t know this was needed. Keeps dog hair and duct down. Absolutely a game changer for cleaning. No smell or noise.

I put one of these in our Master bathroom (where we have two enclosed litter boxes for our three cats and the bathroom is quite large) and one in the Master bedroom (Haven't figured out where to put the third yet...lol) and so far my breathing has improved, I'm not as congested, there appears to be less dust around, and in the bathroom, there doesn't seem to be a ANY persistent odors from us OR the litter boxes... so far these have been a Godsend... and people that are complaining that their units are getting hot... mine aren't even a touch warm and they are plugged in and running 24 hours a day and have been for the last two weeks...

I purchased this particular product specifically for my bedroom. My house is in the country and very dusty. The purifier was purchased to help provide cleaner air during my hours of sleep. I read through the reviews. Some mentioned the negative ion cleanup needed around the outlet area and the LED light. This product attracted me with the following attributes which are true (thus my 3-star review): small size to fit many different areas; easy plug-in; lack of noise; technology that skips having to purchase filters; and a response to an online question from the actual manufacturer. Once the product arrived, I read the instruction pamphlet (printed in such a faint font I needed a magnifying glass to read!). Noted were details I did not notice on the Amazon listing: optimal height to install is 5-feet above ground and away from furniture (note the two manufacturer photos of the device above a bed and a chair!) and how to manage the dark dust that may fall from the device. The best place in the bedroom was near the bed between a cabinet and nightstand. To deal with the possible black dust residue, I immediately taped up paper around the outlet (see photo) and checked it every day including this morning. There was no dust, thankfully. But the ultimate deal-killer was the LED light. Left alone, it lit up the bedroom at night. After two nights of this, two layers of blue painters tape were taped across the top of the device. It muted the light enough so it did not interrupt our sleep. But after one night, I started wondering about the airflow and if this tape was interrupting it. I reached out to the manufacturer and have not yet received a response. The tape was eased back from the LED light to allow airflow and somewhat block the light. The room still smells dusty after a week of use. Overall, it is sad that this device would not work for my circumstances. It may very well work perfectly for others. I am returning the device and the hunt continues for another bedroom purifier. Thanks for listening.

I can honestly say that this item works the way I was hoping it would if not better. I was having a terrible dust collection in my apartment. Thing is that the management replaces the furnace filters on the regular. Trouble is the filters don’t filter any thing. The dustmites were rampant because no matter where my bed is in the room the mites are on it. The clarifion filter works better than my bed and furniture vacuum. I vacuumed every night to no good. I have three and I think I will put one in each room. I’m very happy that I got them. Maybe I’ll vacuum a bit less than every night. I like to think that the dust mites have been evicted.

I received this set of three that I paid $111.00 for and plugged the first two into outlets with no problems then I plugged in the third one and it had shocked me with an electrical shock. I immediately took it out of the outlet and put it into another plug only to be shocked once more. This was obviously an unusable and unsafe product. So I put it all back inside the packaging it came in and was quite insulted when I was putting in the return instructions and it said that I might not receive my full refund if the product wasn’t exactly put back as it had been delivered. Well I made sure that it was put back just as I had received it and wondered if they would send it to someone else which I find to be very unethical and a scam. I had better get my full refund for such an inferior product. They should be ashamed to of sent me such an inferior product and was my order used and sent to me with a faulty switch ??? Very disappointed and will not be buying from those kind of people again.
