few surprising tidbits, but overall not very interesting
Why did I give it 3 stars? The writing. After a while the book became a laborious read, with the author searching for side stories to make each tale more interesting than it actually was. In the end, the book could have shaved about 50% of it's content and still told the story it was searching for. One thing I did take away after reading the book is that Joe Frances is a complete douche and the whole business model of searching for drunk college girls that they could exploit for a few minutes just so that the GGW business could sell their moments for a few bucks is really disgusting. At least with porn, everyone knows what they are getting into. What do these girls get? A stupid tank top... And for the record, I had no opinion of GGW before I read the book.

It's not p0rn, it is a fun read
If you are looking for something titillating and erotic, this ain't it. And the pictures (paperback version) are PG-13 at best. It is a fun peak behind the curtain at Girls Gone Wild. It is a fun story with all of the wild times you would think happen in making GGW videos. There is also a look at the business end of GGW. How they make millions, how boiler room phone centers work, and why you should think twice before buying ANYTHING from a late night TV ad.Oh, and there is page after page of how easy it really was to talk thousands of girls into taking off their top for a T-shirt.

mildly amusing; poorly written
book starts off with some flash and promise. it is interesting to read the antics these guys get into.somewhere halfway through things become very monotonous. you can tell the author is stretching for material - many not-so-relevant side-stories woven into the primary.but most glaringly of all is the poor quality of writing. it became a chore to read the book through: "i did this. he did that. then he did this. and then she said that. and we found it funny".there are bits and pieces of amusement in here, if only one did not get the overwhelming impression of being bored to death by a droning yapper.had promises for a 4*.

Sorry Joe
This book was both exciting and written from the inner camp of Girls Gone Wild. It was a real eye opener to the brand! I enjoyed every page!!! This book makes you feel as though you were there with them every step of the way. From throwing parties with celebrities to cooling out in the Panama City jail cells, this no holds barred tell all is a great read for the Girls Gone Wild crowd and beyond.

Great Book, Highly Recommended, Could totally relate!
In my opinion, Ryan SImkin is not only good at managing bus tours, but he is also great at telling stories. I have always been fascinated by Joe Francis and his bizarre behavior. This book was very fulfilling. It helped put me in the shoes of somebody close to Joe Francis on a personal level. I could relate, through experiences of my own, to almost every CRAZY incidence he talked about. But at the same time, for the experiences I couldn't relate to Ryan made me feel like I was there. I highly recommend this book, I laughed out loud a lot. Thanks Ryan.

Excellent Behind the Scenes Look...
I came for the gossip, but stayed for the perspective. I honestly didn't know that much about GGW other than the vh-1 specials and infomercials, but this held my interest throughout. Lots of good behind the scenes stories and a great breakdown of the nitty gritty business stuff. A very accessible look at one of the biggest, but more mysterious pop culture icons over the last decade. Got more than I bargained for here. Recommend.

Excellent book, couldn't put it down!
This was a fantastic book, that I just couldn't stop reading. Story after story just left me wanting more, right up until it was over. The author did a great job of of keeping your attention. I have read other books, that were similar, and they all seemed completely over the top fake, not Flash! My only disappointment, was that I know the author no longer works for GGW, and we won't get to hear more!

kind of entertaining...
...but mostly an eye roll. Fact check, please. The writing style wants to be engaging, but is more like an ADHD, tangential re-telling of a handful of stories that get repeated and rehashed. A memoire is a person's recollection, so with some latitude there, this book is simply not well written. Oh well, if I thought the subject matter was deplorable before I read this book, now I am even more fully aware of our degraded social norms.
