Lower Valve Leather for Pitcher Pump
I ordered this Lower Valve Leather along with the Simmons Mfg. 1169 Valve And Cup Leather For Pitcher Spout Pump. Together they work great. At first I was confused because the Simmons part is called a "Valve and Cup Leather", but the picture only shows the cup. Indeed, that's what it is, just the cup. Very good product. At first the company accidentally shipped me 2 Lower Valve Leathers instead of 1 Cup and 1 Lower Valve Leather. But I called them and they immediately shipped me the Cup. Very good to work with.

Exactly as pictured. Exactly what I needed.
What I received was exactly as pictured. I was nervous the attachment between the inner and outer pieces of leather were going to be different than pictured because that's what every other leather is like, but this has a nice, thick attachment point. That's the whole reason why I am buying this one because the other ones twist and fail.

Pump back in business
I had to alter this leather a bit to fit my pump, but works just fine.

Maintain a water source; your life may depend on it.
This was purchased to replace a bad valve in a Plumb Eeze hand pump on a deep well. Was a perfect fit and holds water very well. Reduced the priming to virtually nil. If the grid goes down, we will have water. Was tough to find but very pleased with the quality and prompt shipping.

Just what I needed!
Item came within specified time frame and appeared to be a quality made item. Was not sure when I ordered if it would work as I did not know the make of my picture pump. I coated it with vaseline as others suggested to keep it supple longer. Item fit perfectly and I now have the ability to pump water from the well! I will order a couple more for spares.

It's needed for your manual well hand pump.
It's needed like the diagram to sing, the lungs for your pump.....you can't suck the water up without it. ...no joke, good quality for the price.
