Blazing FAASSTTTT!!!!!!
Man!!!!!! I'll tell you what. This thing is smok'n fast. I just transferred some SUPER huge folders from both this device and the Samsung MUF-256AB. There was ABSOLUTELY no comparison. This thing outperformed the Samsung so convincingly, I’m thinking about trying to return the Samsung and get another one of these. I just got a new MBP 16” and am now forced to use a multi port dock of some sort. I’m currently using the Satechi Aluminum Multi-Port Adapter 4K HDMI, USB-C Pass Through, Gigabit Ethernet, SD/Micro Card Readers, USB 3.0 - Compatible. It performs pretty nicely as well, although it does tend to get a bit hot to the touch. Anyway, the Lexar is amazing. It’s soooo fast, I just want to transfer large files/folders just to see it smoke, LOL. But seriously, this thing is fast folks. I don’t really do reviews but this thing was sooo impressive, I thought to myself that I have to share this with people because I know how much I labored over what to get with all the claims these manufacturers make. There is a downside though. Removing this thing from the USB C dock is pretty challenging. I thought I was going to actually need to use needle nose pliers or something at one point. Do yourself a favor after connecting it......forget about it! LOL Hope this helps.

A Nice Drive, Might Need Formatting
This is the second time I buy this drive (Lexar 128GB). I love its size, that I can stick it to a computer as a semi-permanent attachment - does not stick out much! The speed is good. When I copied a relatively large amount of data to it, it stumbled at a file of 7.2GB. I already knew that the original formatting has a stricter file size limitation. So, just format it and it goes smoothly - in case you need to write such a large file to the drive - it all depends on your needs (I used the normal formatting at Win 10). Either way, it works fine and the formatting (if needed) is easily done.

Works with Tesla dashcam recording
I use this exclusively in a Tesla for dashcam video recording. I formatted it in the car and it hasn't failed me yet. So far this has been a reliable USB and the compact size is better for the glovebox mount.

Very small, reliable, but slow
Pros: Very small. Reliable Cons: Very slow for a USB3 drive. There are better options available for the same or sometimes even slightly less money if your quest is for speed. If your quest is for ultra small size, this thumbdrive is about as small as they come. Not every use case has a need for extreme speed. If your primary desire is to have a thumbdrive almost permanently stuck into your laptop as you lug it around, with very low chance of bumping or snagging the thumbdrive and breaking it, then this one would be a great choice for that. It is so small that sometimes it can be difficult to get hold of to pull it out if there are others things plugged in around it. My thumbdrive never even gets slightly warm to the touch. But I do not do extended reads/writes to it. The most I ever call on it to do is to boot an operating system and load the entire OS into RAM. That takes roughly one minute (guessing) for 2Gb worth of continuous reading from the drive. So not much time for it to get warm even if it wanted to.

Replaced a broken stick drive
This replaced a normal length usb drive that my wife assured me would never get damaged until that fateful day that her laptop slipped. I like how tight it is to the laptop making it very secure and unable to bend.

Complete trash. Worked for one day.
Having bought countless flash drives over the years, including several very tiny large capacity USB 3.x drives like this one (Transcend JetFlash 710 and Corsair Voyager Vega), I've had a few a die after multiple years of daily usage, but have never had a single one crap out in less than a single day of light use until I bought this Lexar S47. Should have known something wasn't right when the drive wasn't immediately detected by my PC after the first insertion. Pulled it out, tried again and it seemed to be recognized and working fine. Copied a small amount of music onto the drive (maybe ~10 to 15GB at most, only transferring a few 200MB albums at a time). Later that day, while copying a few more albums, I suddenly started getting multiple "try again" errors on certain files, but they eventually copied okay. Plugged the drive into my vehicle's USB port and immediately got a "device not recognized" error. Got to work and tested the drive on my PC there and while copying stuff back off the drive, it again started giving "try again" errors that wouldn't resolve this time. At that point, I tried reformatting the drive completely which wouldn't complete. Tried again on another machine with the same results. To make matter worse, when trying to initiate a defective return through Amazon, I either need to spend another $8 for pick-up or waste the same amount in gas to drive to the nearest drop-off and back - all for a broken $15 item they want back. At this point, I wouldn't even trust an exchange for the same brand or product. Not at all happy with both Lexar and Amazon for wasting my time and money on this piece of trash.

Perfect for inconspicuous music storage in car
This thing is the same size as a wireless mouse dongle. I also like that there's no lights or logos on it at all. Just matte black. I got a new car with exposed USB ports on the dash for music and it blends right in and can't be seen through the windows so I can leave it plugged in at all times. Also, it's fast enough. I didn't bother benchmarking it but it copied GBs of music in seconds, which is all I care about. Some of the other drives this size have horrible write speeds or they throttle themselves down after a while. I haven't had any issues with this one. Very happy with the purchase for my needs.
