Is this appropriate for a 5 year old? Grandkids are 9, 7, 5 and trying to find something they all can participate in.

We purchase it for our Goddaughter and her brother and sister. She was 4 years old and brother and sister was 7 and 6 years old. They all love it. Their mother played with them so her 4 year old would be on her side when they play teams. We brought sets to expand the numbers of pods. They all love it.

Is this compatible for just one player? Was thinking about using it as part of son's remote schooling to get him running around

I think the switch game (the one that requires running) can be used with just one person. You can make it easier by not spreading the pods so far apart or by giving him two colors to tap instead. Either way, it would be a lot of running around for him. I'd do it in bursts of 5 minutes since it's so fast paced.
