I've cut metal, plastic, and wood with it. Nice locking trigger keeps your hands free and the built in Chuck tool into the handle is a nice touch. Better than having it attached to the cord or just laying free. I can't say that for some of the other junk you find for sale here. Yes, the 2ah batteries don't last all that long with an angle grinder, but there are larger capacities available also (I have a 4ah on the way, and there are 5ah ones as well). My Skil tools have all worked perfectly for my needs, and this angle grinder beats the heck out of a (only slightly) cheaper off-brand one I bought a couple of months ago that turned out to be completely useless.
