Review: Fair price, usable tools. - Good for the price. Threw these on work to be disposable, but they’ve held up better than expected. Not the hardest punches I’ve ever had, they will bend before they break. Sometimes bending is preferable to snapping the punch off inside whatever you’re working on though.
Review: Work well. - Size and quality of these is good. I've seen several reviews mentioning that they are too small or damage easily. They are standard as far as sizing. Not too small and large enough for heavy work. If you know how to actually use a punch, chisel, etc, they hold up just fine with no damage. I suspect those that complained about how durable they are aren't using them properly.....user error.

**Q: Can these be used for metal engraving?**
A: If it is a softer metal such as aluminum or tin, I would say it’s very possible. A harder metal such as iron or steel, no.

**Q: What are the min and max radii on the gauge used for?**
A: I believe that it has to do with sharpening them

**Q: Are these definitely made with chrome-vanadium? cr-v is pretty much always shiny, this looks more like carbon steel. is it stamped on there?**
A: I returned mine,  they are soft.

First time buying Amazon Basics, I usually stick to higher in brands, but the price was right and the reviews were good on this product. For the week that I have had these, I am very impressed with the durability of these so far. I have “put the beans to them” and they’re holding up to the test. Places where I’d usually use an air hammer, they get the job done. Really like the smaller sizes as well for getting pins out, works perfect. So far so good, I’ll update if they break. Also, when rolled up they fit snug in a top drawer. Thinking about making a foam insert like my snap on ones have.
