One must use these what they were designed for and nothing more!
So many bad reviews on varying lengths of these connectors scared me away from ordering these at first. I had never seen a warning about an item having numerous returns. But I was desperate and had to redesign my 20 year old thin speaker wires from my receiver to my speakers. These two 11 inch ones did the job. I simply added 12 foot lengths of RCA female jacks to RCA male plugs. The wired ends of these need to fit exactly within the clamps on the back of the receiver. Something tells me that the bad reviews on these are from those who are not using these properly.

Spliced and Fixed
My subwoofer wire was bad, so I respliced this bad boy on it.. Voila!! Worked like a charm.
