We are exceptionally pleased with this radio. I spent hours researching different ones and reading customer reviews, especially as our previous DAB radios (that used AA batteries) never ran for long before needing fresh batteries. This small radio **PR2-Max** produces a pleasing sound from it's one speaker, and we are using it on it's built-in battery. Since Xmas day it has been on all day, at volume 3 (bars) as background music running for 8-10 hours a day and the battery is lasting for 3 days, so we are actually getting 24-30 hours of battery life at volume 3 (bars), which I think is phenomenal. **PR2-MAX I CHOSE HAS THE BUILT-IN BATTERY, and bigger screen, the older small-screen version uses AA batteries** Despite being in a town we have really poor DAB reception indoors (thick house walls and roof) meaning that many radios (both terrestrial and especially DAB simply do not pick up reception indoors. I took it outdoors (where reception is fine) to do the initial scan for stations, and once that was done (99 stations straight away) I then took the radio indoors, and it works recieving good clear reception, which tells me that the tuner electronics are of a better quality to other portable radios that we have had, tried, given up on. Really really pleased with this PR2-MAX. It will occasionally be used away from the home and mains electricity, and hence our need for portability and good battery life. There is a mains adaptor and shielded power lead (usb-c) included in the box.

I needed a small compact radio with an alarm clock for the bedroom and this fits the bill perfectly. It looks good and picks all the DAB stations that I listen too and has a reasonable sound quality. My two negative things are: 1. If using just on AAA batteries their life span is short 2. To switch the radio off you have to hold the power button for a few seconds otherwise you change the radio from DAB to FM and vice versa. It would be more sensible if you had to hold the button for a few seconds to change between DAB and FM and could quickly press it to switch the radio off. Overall satisfied with my purchase.

This is a cute radiio and certainly packs out a good sound quality. Easy to use and trasport around the house as it is lightweight. Very good quality make. Very impressed as not had a DAB raio before.

This could have been a great little radio - but two things let it down. Firstly the cord needs to be longer - i bought it to use on a bedside table, but even though its plugged into a socket right behind, the cord is so short it doesnt reach the top of the table, so the radio has to sit on the floor. Batteries arent an option as they dont last long. Secondly the multifunction buttons are less than perfect, particularly the on/off one, which is a bit hit and miss when you use it. Its currently in the cupboard as a spare - but im looking for a replacement.

Small and compact with great sound quality

I had high hopes for this little radio after reading the reviews but sadly the sound/reception quality is awful. I’ve tried changing from FM to DAB, changing location, aerial fully extended, away from other devices, and using a mainstream radio station (BBC Radio 2) but sadly nothing has worked. A colleague at work has a very similar radio of another brand and it works fine in the same locations I used which makes it obvious that the issue is the equipment and not the location. Unfortunately had to return for a refund.

Appareil qui capte très bien aux endroits où la fm ne passait pas du tout, son très satisfaisant après essai (salle de bain) j’en ai commandé un second pour mon atelier. Couleur ou autre ne sont pas des critères de sélection pour moi , ce que je demande est un bon fonctionnement et c’est le cas.
