I bought this 3-pack of ionizers for my home and am very satisfied with the results. They are extremely compact and easy to use, as they simply plug directly into the wall. I placed them in the kitchen, near my pet's litter box, and in the bedroom. The noise level is barely noticeable, making them perfect to leave running at night. I’m sure this product is great, the packaging was awesome! It was just the wrong filter for my purifier, so I’m returning it, but do give this company a try if it works your purifier!

I decided to come back and read the one star reviews. The first five or six I see relate to this product that's pictured– three ozone generators with a tiny cat. The rest of the reviews are for some other filter, and these are not filters. Just a caveat if you're looking for a 'filter'. I have not read the other reviews of stars– 2,3, or 4. I've used small ozone generators for many years. They're referred to as 'negative ion' or 'thunderstorm air' because it's better marketing, but they are low-level ozone generators. When they work, they're great for removing smells in the air, and can help with smelly carpet, walls, or drapes, and I bet they'd help in basements, too. I don't have one. I'm not sure how well they work for smokers because I'm not one and I can always smell old cigarette smoke. Yuck. I've used them for food/cooking smells, litter boxes, in a closed spare bedroom/storage room so it won't smell like stale cardboard boxes, in a bathroom to get rid of bathroom odors and/or cleaning products used, my garage, and I've even used them in my car. I don't know what these are here. They appeared to be what I was looking for. I got a tiny box and when I opened it, I laughed out loud. Three tiny, tiny oval things that fit into the palm of my hand, and I have small, lady hands. Now, just so there's no misunderstanding, I did not take the photo used for advertising and think they'd be similar to the size of that cat. I was thinking they'd be similar in size to what I'm used to, like four to five inches or so. I tried them. Plugged in, they're silent. If you put your ear close you can hear something. Air movement is so minimal that if you put your finger near it, you really have to focus to feel it. How did they work? I did not get that 'fresh air' smell that I was expecting from previous products. At all. Cooking and food smell in the kitchen? Nothing. I thought maybe it's too small for my small kitchen, so I tried it in the small bathroom with the door closed. Six hours and the bathroom smell from a cleaner is still there. Normally, that would be almost gone in 30 minutes or less. I tried it in my car. Nothing. And my car isn't smelly, so much as it's hot and the a/c can give off a musty smell or it just feels stuffy. It's 13 years old, and after a treatment, my car smells like fresh leather again. Love leather seats. I don't have a cat anymore, but I don't think this product would have done anything. I didn't try it in the spare room with boxes because I didn't bother. I didn't try the hot garage because again, why bother. I did put one in my small bedroom because my Mini Dachshund drools a little when she sleeps (she's older-13) and her breath is stinky. It did nothing in my bedroom. I already have a $300 HEPA filter in here, but I was looking for a quick little burst of that 'fresh air' smell. *The one thing it's good at? That annoyingly bright green light. Sometimes the green smoke detector light makes me feel like I'm about to be beamed up and abducted by aliens, but this product is SO much brighter. It lights up the ceiling, reflects off the fan and the wall. I think it's far too bright to sleep with and I don't think that's comforting or acceptable. I've never had glowing light like that from any other product of this type. I bought these because they were so highly rated, I think they were 5 stars on the 'sponsored' list. Like I said, I've been using small ozone generators for years. They've always had adjustable output levels which I definitely recommend. I think I've been using them since 2005? Even new houses can get a musty smell from drywall or paint, or just from daily living. I remember them being so comforting that I could freshen the air in my big bedroom before I went to bed. I had a big house, almost 3000sf and I used to use only two small, adjustable, portable ozone generators. One in the kitchen, mainly, and one in the cat litter closet because I had three cats. I'd sometimes move the kitchen unit around to the office, the bedroom, or one of the three bathrooms I had– usually my ex-husband's bathroom because, you know. Ewww. If you're wondering what style I was using, look at P L I X I O. Put the letters together without spaces and search. They used to be under a different name, but the company was sold, I think. Sometimes I could use those for years, when the name was different. There was another brand I tried that looked the same, round, but has a different name. Lots of complaints about them wearing out very quickly and loud, noisy fans, etc., all true AND THAT'S WHY I decided to give THIS product of three a try. I was hoping there had been some update with how the 'fresh air' smell was produced– upgraded technology, maybe better quality components like the small fans that can get super loud for some reason (they're not supposed to be loud at all), or something just better. I paid $29.00 for this set of three because there was a coupon. I was expecting something better or at least equal to what I've been accustomed to. I know this is long, but I wanted to be as informative as possible. And I couldn't sleep. I hope this review helps someone. P.S. There are much larger ozone generators available that are great for getting rid of smells, especially in older housing, but those are different and not good for your health. You have to actually leave the property when they are used, then you have to air out the place for 30-60 minutes before you can safely re-enter. You have to remove your animals, too, or they can die. And when you see people talk about ozone generators causing cancer, it's usually based on those type that produce high levels. They usually cost more than $100, sometimes they are several hundred dollars. The small portables are not like that. TL;DR– Don't believe the hype. I don't recommend these, and I have no idea how they have such great reviews. Placebo effect? Questionable, truly.

I bought this set of mini ionizers because a couple of my roommates smoke and the scent lingers throughout the house. I put one in each of their rooms as well as one in the room of my teenage son. I’m really impressed with how well they work. The air feels fresher and cleaner. It has been great at helping eliminate smoke odors. I love that it is silent and has a small profile against the wall.
