I've had it on my hands accidentally with no problems, but, I did wash my hands often.

How fast should i hang the wallpaper after applying the paste? Also, how thick should i apply the paste?

hang the paper fairly soon after pasting or it will pull away. The paste should be evenly distributed.

I need to glue a king size quilt on a wall, will this glue work?

It did a fabulous job on my paper wallpaper. I’m not sure any paste will hold up under a heavy quilt. I would recommend finding someone to sew a “sleeve” to the top of your quilt and hanging it from a dowel.
