It is soft and washes well. The sleeves are plenty long enough (I am 5'9" and need tall length in sleeves and pants), and the neckline is flattering. For reference, I ordered an XL, and I wear a size 16 pants or L / XL tops. This is slouchy and roomy without feeling baggy. I could have ordered a Large, but it would be more fitted. I'm loving it as my main layer under a coat with jeans. If you are post-partum, consider this piece. It's loose and flattering. The buttons are for looks, but there is enough give to raise the shirt if nursing. Note: it is not that warm. It is a regular t-shirt knit, but it would layer well with cuddle duds, etc. The picture of the Burgundy wine is true to my experience. I am about 5'9" & 175-180 lbs, to me, the sleeves are too short but I have long arms. That is why I am docking it a star. If the sleeves slouched on my hands, it'd be perfect but they are just shy of my hand/wrist. I buy most levels my sleeve shirts with the hopes that the sleeves will be long and sometimes it happens, this time it didn't. The color & fabric are great! This is more of a shirt than a sweater, thinner than I expected but it's not advertised as a sweater. I bought a similar shirt that actually is a sweater & it's much thicker.
