KitchenAid KE132OHOBA Classic Garlic Press

Update 7/30/25: I discovered that this has the removable baskit. Guess it was stuck in there and I didn't know it. Good press! Buy it! I had the older Kitchenaide garlic press with the removable basket. Much easier to clean. Alas, that little basket went missing. Thought this would have same design. My fault for not looking more closely at the description. It still functions just fine. Just takes a little more effort to clean. Still, a good value.

I had a garlic press since the early 80s. It broke and because I had it so long, I felt so bad. After getting this new one, I am now glad it broke! I am older with weaker hands now. This new press works so easy for me. The old one...I had to squeeze like heck. This one... I mean easy! I used to have to cut the garlic up in small pieces. This one can handle larger chunks. I had to use a toothpick to clean the old one. This one can be easily cleaned under some running water. Much easier. The handle grips are super great. I totally recommend.

A comfortable grip, and works and cleans up well. Worth the money.

Sturdy construction and good grip when in use. A good value for the money. The only small issue is that the garlic sticks and you must remember after cleaning to properly reinsert the removable piece before using again.

Good quality. Does what it is supposed to do.

The grip and weight of this tool are great. The removable basket is helpful for ease of cleaning, and I love that the whole thing is dishwasher safe. Sometimes garlic does leak out the top or get stuck in a paper-thin layer inside the basket, but even with those little issues it is so much faster than mincing the garlic by hand - and no more smelly fingers afterward!

I bought one of these about 15 years ago and it is superb. I was in need of a new one, so I bought one a few months ago. What a difference 15 years has made in the quality. The detachable metal screen just pops right out when you open the press full of mashed garlic in this new one and is very inconvenient. The old one stays in place until you pull it out. I loved that one but not his new one. What a disappointment.

easy to clean and works great, stainless steel wins again!
