Technicians Choice Red Mount/Demount Head for Hunter Tire Changers – Heavy-Duty Nylon Insert for Rim Protection - 0343-R

I bought this and a cheap, $35 bracket thing that holds this duck bill to use it on most manual tire changers. I have an old Coats machine. That system works fine but its a bit of a PITA to take on and off every time you move or flip the tire. There are several videos showing guys who welded a short angle iron to a 4-5 foot pipe or fence post so there is no need to remove and replace it. Next time I need to mount tires I'm gonna weld one up and speed/simplify things a bit. The extra leverage with be a plus also. This part is great though. Tough and a big improvement over any other manual tool. Thanks DS

I purchased this as a spare duckhead to use on my Krysolad branded "Bearing Manual Tire Changer Duck Head Adapter Kit" for my Harbor Freight manual tire changer. This is a near perfect match to the duckhead included in the Krysolad kit. The only differences that I could see are the "TCP6" embossed text from the molding on the Krysolad part and a very slight shift in the red nylon plastic coloring. This item has very small/fine lightly embossed "TCP" text on the center recessed surface. The nylon feels and appears to be the same quality. The bolt pattern is an exact match. I haven't used this part, so I cannot rate its durability. However, these duckhead mount/demount parts are inherently not as durable as the metal variety, but they should last a while if kept indoors (to avoid damage from climate changes and UV exposure) and not abused during use. I like having spare wear and tear parts on hand, so I don't delay the job any more than I have to. Only time and extended use will tell if I made the best choice.

Duck head quality made material with a smooth finish, very functional as described. Easy to install as all the holes fitted perfect. Good price!

Use this with my Harbor Freight tire changer and it is very easy to mount and dismount a tire. Harder to use on small rims (golf cart) because the curve (radius) does not match the rim shape and creates a gap you must pull the tire over. It does work but not as smooth as with larger rims. No signs of fatigue after doing 5 tires.

Yet to fit to tire changer, but looks well made and solid.

Brilliant I used this to remove tyres from alloy wheels using a manual tyre changer . Saved the wheels getting scratched simple to use seems to be strong enough

In deed this device went beyond what i expected, i redesign my manual tire machine adding center piece using 2 bearings, bottom bearing, washer type needle bearing top was a roller bearing type. slider outer harm and up an down shaft attache the to this device,. i did change some ford escape tires in a aluminum rims, went very smooth. i recommend those are interested in adaption on manual tire changer, to buy this device and adapted. i love it, very easy to change tires.
