Say goodbye to unpleasant tastes and odors with the Watts Premier 5SV 5 Stage Reverse Osmosis System. It was one of the first systems on the market - that still provides great quality drinking water today. This system includes a Reverse Osmosis module, five filters, a chrome air gap faucet, and a 3-gallon storage tank.This system includes one 5-Micron Sediment Filter (WP104017) for reducing dirt, silt, and rust that affects the taste and appearance of your water; two 5-Micron Carbon Block Pre-Filters (WP101009); one 50 GDP Membrane (WP560018) for reducing TDS and impurities like arsenic, lead, nitrates, percolate, and copper; one GAC (Granulated Activated Carbon) Inline Filter (WP560010) for removing organic compounds. Changing the filters in this system is as simple as: removing the filter housings by unscrewing the filter bowls, dropping in your new filters, and then screwing back on the filter housings.Certified by WQA to NSF/ANSI 372 Lead-Free standards, all components of this system are crafted from high-quality materials for maximum filtration. Review: Excellent performing system - I've had this system professionally installed about two years ago, although the instructions and connectors are simple enough anyone could do it, I happened to have other unrelated plumbing work that needed to be done. It does a great job removing any flavor from the water. I get my water from a shallow well and notice a remarkable difference. I've changed filters only once, but it recommends every 6 months to ensure the membrane lasts. Note this system requires a certain pressure, I believe 40 psi. Since I live on a well with a pressure tank that fluctuates between 25 - 45 psi, I had to get a booster pump, so I opted for the zero-waste kit since it includes the booster pump. This system will go through quite a bit of water to fill the tank, so I highly recommend the zero waste kit if your plumbing system allows it (ie - water heater allows water to flow backwards).

I purchased this product to install in a house that I had just purchased. Having grown up in this town, I knew that the water was barely drinkable (quality is acceptable, taste is not). I got the RO unit installed in a single afternoon, but I had to purchase a few extra pieces to connect the ice maker/water for my refrigerator. The water quality is outstanding. I no longer mind drinking water and have cut down on my soda consumption drastically. Installation was reasonably easy and I'm very happy with the purchase.
