Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum – RGB 7.1 Dolby and DTS Headphone Surround Sound Gaming Headset – PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and Mobile Compatible – Exceptional Audio Performance – Black

First let me start off this review saying this the last headset I will buy. It is that good I will probably never get a new one. Now let me tell you why. Firstly, the most important part of the headset: The Sound: The sound has some of the best quality I have heard in a headset. Even at its highest volumes, the sound is still crystal clear. Now this headset features both 7.1 Digital Surround Sound as well as stereo. For the 7.1 to work, you have to have the USB plugged in so the headset is powered, so you can literally get 7.1 DSS from any device as long as it is powered by USB. The sound quality can also be customized through Logitech's PC app, and saved as presets on the headset itself. The sound quality and customization for it, is simply the best For around 130$. The Build quality: The build quality may feel fragile and light at first, but it is truthfully well built. Nothing has broke on it since I bought it (granted I am careful with electronics I buy), and usually with some cheaper headsets they just randomly break. This have not. The build quality is exceptional. The comfort: In the build quality section I said the headset is light. With it being light, it is very comfortable for its size. I can have this headset on and it does not feel like I am wearing it most of the time, that is how comfortable it is. I can go hours playing or listening to something through this headset and have no irritation after a few hours of use. It is simply comfortable enough, it disappears when you put it on. The mic: Now here is where it gets interesting. The mic works well, and is concealable in the headset if you don't need or want to use it at the time. However, it is a bit short, and you have to speak up more for it to pick up your voice. Or you move to try to move it closer to you, but how far you can extend the mic is still short. The mic was probably the least focused on aspect of the headset, but it still works very well with how much else the headset does right. Finally there is the customization The Customization: This is where the Logitech G633 puts the final nail in the coffin against other headsets, in terms of price as well as everything previously mentioned. When you download the Logitech app to customize the headset, it gives you two things you can adjust: The sound and the lighting. The sound can be adjusted for heavier bass, for cinematic gaming, for FPS, for stealth, etc, and these are just the presets they have, you can create a new preset yourself. So you can change the sound quality to fit what you like. Secondly, this headset has customizable lighting. You can set the color to any of the 16.8 million colors available to you, and you can set to three effects: always on, breathing, and color cycle. You can also set which of the two zones you want on or off. Or alternatively you turn it off if you don't like the lighting effect. Final thoughts: The is by far the best headset on the market in this price range. Most headsets usually only specialize in one part of the headset to get right. Well, this headset simply crushes the competition in every area. You can hook it up to any device that has USB or 3.5mm jack (PC, Consoles, mobile devices), it is extremely comfortable, 7.1 sound and build quality are superb, and this level of customization is unheard of in a headset. This is simply the best headset you will get for your money. This the last headset you will have to buy. At least for a long time. Buy this headset over any others if you can afford it. You will not be disappointed, I know I am not.

So in the past I've had a number of headsets. Starting from 2003 in about 3rd grade playing Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne on PC with an old school stand mic to now playing PS4 and Xbox One with this great headset. I've had several different brands such as Turtle Beach, Tritton, Astros, Microsoft's Xbox 360 standard mic, and Playstation's ps3 bluetooth headset. With my Tritton Kunai going out on me after only about a year in a half (great headset, but now has a constant 'echo' when playing with friends (do note that the echo started first) and then the hinge on the mic cracked a bit when I accidentally stepped on it, now the headset won't stay on my head too well even with hardcore taping), being disappointed with the loss of quality in the new gen Turtle Beach headsets (overall did not like the sound quality on the Earforce XO and friends saying I did not sound too great on the mic) , and accidentally lightly stepping on the hinge of my A30 Astros resulting in no sound in one ear and the mic never connecting (when I saw 'lightly stepping' on the headset, I really mean it. It's not some BS excuse. I actually did stop myself before I could REALLY put pressure on it. Overall it felt like cheap plastic, didn't even last a year); I think it was time for a new brand.... Normally I would never buy a headset over the $50 mark on Black Friday (hence why I've owned moderately expensive headsets like the Astros and Turtle Beach Ear Force XO); but with my gf's mother giving me a pretty decent Amazon gift card and seeing this $150 headset on sale for ~$91; I just caved. Everyone has their own needs when it comes to buying something. For me, I needed a headset that could take a beating. I often bring the headset to my girlfriend's house and occasionally to a friend's house. Next I needed a headset with decent speakers. I'm tired of crappy audio and mic quality (such as the TB Ear Force XO). Lastly, I wanted a headset that can function well while going from PS4, Xbox One, and even to my phone. I'll get to the point... Pros: 1. Build quality is great! Really can take a beating. 3.5mm jack and usb cords are thread so it won't fringe easily. Headset sits well on my head. 2. Audio SOUNDS GREAT! The surround sound works very well and the sound quality is great. 3. Mic quality (as stated by friends) is great. I sound clear and will pick up the smallest sounds. Great when you have a roommate sleeping or a complaining parent. Cons: 1. Size of headset. Its large, but not uncomfortable or anything. Just large for storage.

Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum RGB 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset This is arguably one of the best sounding GAMING headsets on the market, with a few flaws. *AUDIO* This headset sounds pretty darn great. In stereo mode, it is capable outputting a respectable range of frequencies, with a somewhat of a notable focus on the mid tones (presumably to assist with footsteps and etc), surprisingly clear bass (though not overpowered and suitable for the 'modern' tastes, and a relatively well functioning surround sound when plugged in through the emulated surround. Will these headsets blow your mind and permanently shelf your dedicated audiophile options (non-gaming headphones)? Most likely no. Will these headsets not have you reaching for your audiophile options every time you ever have to watch a video or listen to a song or two? These headsets just might be good enough that, you will just decide to be lazy and not bother... at least sometimes. The surround COULD be a bit better, and I feel like there's a slight dissonance between the different sets of channels, presumably to better distinguish the 'rear' channels. It works. I do want to note, as a competitive-level Battlefield 4 player, and a relatively competant player of other FPS titles, Stereo will ALWAYS be the way to go. That said, the surround is decent enough that, if you were more inclined, it wouldn't be nearly as detrimental for precision as some of the other surround options on the market. The equalizers seem to do their part. They're not the most versatile in the world but they do work. *MICROPHONE* The microphone has been complained about. It is certainly not going to give you performance like a dedicated option, but it is one of the better ones as far as headsets are concerned. If people are having trouble hearing you on teamspeak, ventrilo and etc, make sure you check up on your server/client's codec set-up. It also has a nifty 'sidetone' functionality. The 'sidetone' functionality is also an interesting one (only functional through the USB cord). It's a built-in second channel for when you want to hear yourself speak. Now you can sort of achieve this through the windows 'hear the microphone' volume setting... but as I am sure anyone who's tried to use this setting actively will be aware, that the delay on the 'hear the microphone' functionality natively included in Windows causes too much dissonancefor any kind of practical use. The sidetone gets rid of the delay for the most part to emulate the experience of hearing yourself in a dedicated mixer in a more professional environment. It works. *FIRMWARE/SOFTWARE* Until I forced proper firmware updates on all my USB ports and etc, I had some issues not having the headset freak out, ESPECIALLY when using with a laptop. However, by not using a USB bypass/hub, and plugging directly into the laptop with fully updated USB firmware. I do have to say the buttons on the headset itself feel largely unintutive and often useless. There are a lot of buttons on one of the earpads, which you CANNOT see. It will take a quite bit of time before muscle memory kicks in before I accidentally press buttons I didn't want to press. The microphone automatically mutes upon folding up, which does alleviate this issue, but for someone persistantly recording, or running an open microphone, or a very sensitive 'activate on talk' settings, the sound of the microphone getting folded won't be ideal resorting you to have to deal with getting used to pressing one of MANY buttons on the earpad you CANNOT see. While it makes the replacement cables more affordable, and perhaps increase the longevity of the headset, there's a good reason why you'd want controls you can SEE. Then the software itself. It does enough and is mostly adequate, but it at least needs to have a layout overhaul soon. Currently, it leaves wanting for more to be improved. The software is a unified option that covers all gaming devices from logitech. It works well enough for Gaming Mice and keyboards to an extent, but for the headset... meh it could really be improved. Also, there doesn't seem to be a microphone boost option? While it doesn't seem necessary at the moment, I could see how someone in a different environment might be found wanting there. *LIGHTS* The lights are cool enough, it is fully RGB. I do wish they offered more in customization options, but Logitech was pretty late to the RGB race compared to its competitors, and this is a persistent, albeit minor, issue in all of their current products offering RGB options (I own G810, G Pro Gaming, and this atm). *BUILD* I've heard the form factor being an issue for some. For both me and my wife, the headsets seemed to feel well, though they seem to take a little before being broken in, but they are good enough. These headsets are a BIT on the bulkier side, so if you don't have a great fit, especially once the headset has been broken in, you MIGHT have issues with the headset easily falling off what have you... but so far I don't see much indication of that. I DO have a point of concern with the bulkiness. The earcups are pretty hefty and large, and not the lightest thing. The headband as a result is plastic largely (though they do appear to be solid enough). This kind of led me to wonder if the knobs connecting the relatively heavy earcups (that swivel both ways I might add) to the headband would be solid enough. At least in the case of my first pair? It wasn't. *** IMPORTANT NOTE*** The headset had dropped from, at MOST 3 ft, from the table they were rested on down to my wood panel floor. A relatively common height and scenario for a headset. The slightly heavier (with the mic and the cable receivers) ear cup of the left side, snapped and broke off the headband. The silver lining might be that the cable inside seemed sturdy enough to endure the trauma and seemed quite solidly affixed to the now disjointed ends. It looks like what connects the two earcups to the headband under its seeming thick exterior are relatively small plastic pipes that didn't appear to be much more than 1 cm in diameter. I am on my replacement pair at the moment, and now keeping my fingers crossed that I was just unlucky, as I've seen no reporting of this issue. *** CONCLUSION *** Great sound (input/output), some slightly questionable design choices that MAY or MAY NOT be deal breakers, some firmware/software issues that could use improvement, and of course a big question mark in regard to the 'sturdiness' of the headsets. If you're looking for some of the best sounds available on gaming headsets WITHOUT having to pair up a proper set of $100+ audiophile headphones with an equally expensive voice input option WITH a proper DAC/Soundcard (NOT onboard), to actually make use of the set pairing... G633 is NOT the worst way to go, especially with the current dropping of the price to the $100 range.

I bought the Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum, and I did quite a bit of research before I did. This headset has been perfect for what I needed it for, which was gaming, and more specifically, the digital surround sound. I chose to go for the corded option because I knew I would be right next to my computer 99% of the time I used this headset, and it was also cheaper than the wireless version. I also read some reviews on the wireless version and saw that people were having issues with them randomly disconnecting, so I figured the wired version wouldn't suffer the same problem. On a side note, this headset also comes with an alternate wire with a 3.5mm plug (normal wire has USB), so you can plug into your phone or any other device that has such a jack. The surround sound has helped immensely in the competitive shooters I play on my computer, and the mic sounds phenomenal. I've also used these to listen to music and watch movies and they perform very well, with deep, rich lows and tight highs. The part that goes around your ear is very comfortable and breathable, so you won't get sweaty during your longer gaming sessions. The buttons/controls on the back of the left ear are easy to get to, but it might take a while to get used to. The software that's made for this headset (available for free from the Logitech website) is full of features. It allows you to map those left ear buttons to macros or whatever else you could want, really. You can also customize the built-in lights and change the "sound profile", to specifically tailor the balance for gaming, movies, etc. You can even create and save custom presets to get the precise sound you want for every application you're using. NOTE: You'll have to download the software in order to use the digital surround sound. My only complaint is probably the plastic they used to build these things. It's very light, which is most likely done on purpose to prevent fatigue during longer gaming sessions, but they just feel a little bit delicate. Also, straight from the box, somewhere near the hinges on the right ear has been squeaky from Day 1. It looks like it's just a little bit of plastic rubbing together, but it was a little bit of a disappointment after having spent quite a bit of money on such a nice headset. Either way, these things aren't deal breakers for me. Overall, this is a solid headset and is fantastic for gaming!

I've had nothing but frustrations with this headset since I bought it. Buying these was the biggest regret I had of 2018. The sound quality is whatever... not great, not terrible. But the quality of the material is awful. First off, the usb cable it came with was super fickle and didn't really work well from the start. I could literally wiggle the cable and lose connection to the headset. So I threw that out pretty early on and used my own. Fine. Even then, the micro USB connection is still super sensitive, and didn't even keep the cable snug inside... so over time it would just get loose and the slightest shake or bump would loosen it enough for it to loose connection. So right away this is not great, losing connection randomly is super annoying when I'm gaming. I even had my game crashing several times when this happened because apparently my computer didn't like the audio device being removed suddenly? Moving on from the connection issues, I want to talk about the foam ear pieces that you can detach to replace... Well, they suck. Absolute trash. I had them come off way too easily and they take incredible patience to put back on... something that I lack when I'm in the middle of an online match and I need a functioning pair of headphones. So either I just say screw it and play the remainder of the match with one foam ear piece missing, or I sit there fiddling with it until I get it back on. It's extremely frustrating trying to get them back on, because as I stated earlier, they come off super easily... just a slight tug in any direction and it pops off. But to get it on you have to slowly and carefully apply the right amount of pressure around it while going around the entire piece to secure it all in place... and when you get it about 80% of the way on, you have to be extra careful as you have to stretch it to the limit to get it over the last 20%, and the slightest slip and the whole thing comes off and you have to start over. I know it seems like a silly minor complaint, but when I'm in the middle of a match and I take off my headset momentarily to do something, and the cable comes unplugged or the foam earpiece pops off, I might as well just shut my computer down because I'm not getting back into that match any time soon with a working headset... or I'm going to sit there fiddling with it until I'm fuming and then have a terrible match because of it. Overall this headset is just crap. I just want a quality sound without hassle or dealing with all it's little problems. Just a reliable headset I can take on and off and not worry about stuff falling off of it. These are going in the garbage... probably after I smash them into a thousand pieces.

I bought this headset 4 1/2 years ago as a recommendation from a friend to replace a different headset I had and because my Blue Yeti microphone was not up to par with the quality I wanted. The reason why I am giving this 3 stars overall despite my other Ratings being higher is because when I got this headset, it used to be $60 and got it on sale for $15 including Tax. Granted, the headset is apparently discontinued now, but i'm seeing the page for it showing the price now as $175 and for that amount, you can definitely find a Headset that works much better than the G633 Spectrum for Gaming+Mic quality. Audio Quality is really good and the padding for your head is snug enough that outside noise is hard to hear (naturally, your ears will get used to this over time and it won't be as bad.) The Noise-cancellation on the Mic works well enough and for Streaming, it's very clear though does pick up the headset movement when moving around. It detects any keyboard usage or sounds controller inputs make, but it does pick up my Fan (and this will factor into the title mentioning Discord in a bit.) Does not pick up any chatter from residents in this household if they are not in my room, so it's very much serviceable. The biggest issue I have with the microphone is the noise-cancelling for it combined with Discord's own noise-cancelling settings. If you have both enabled, Discord will constantly cut your mic while in voice chats and that got incredibly annoying so I have to turn off Discord's noise-cancelling settings to solve that. Unfortunately though, I need to run a pedestal fan during the warm seasons because the room I have my office in gets way too hot and with Discord's noise-cancelling settings off, the Logitech software's noise-cancellation alone does not cut out my Fan when talking to people. Would I still recommend the headset? Yes and No. Back then when it was a lot cheaper, I would have recommended it in a heartbeat even though the microphone does have its issues, but with it costing as much as it does nowadays, you're better off looking elsewhere or trying your luck with Logitech's other headsets that are cheaper.

I purchased these for my brother a few days ago. Here is his review as per FB. Thank you to my brother and sister-in-law, for gettng these for my birthday. I am quite particular when it comes to hardware, especially with devices that enhance interactiity - keyboards, mice, monitors, joysticks, and in this case, headphones. These are the Logitech Artemis G633 gaming headphones. They have 7.1 surround sound capabilities with with a 40 mm driver (large drivers = better lower bass frequencies). I was skeptic about this spec, but, it was in fact a defining charateristic. More on that later. Anyway, the feel of wearing these is quite comfortable. I have two other headsets I have had prior. The Sony wireless headsets and the Sony Playstation 4 wired headsets. Compared to these two, the G633 is the most confortable. It's not as tight as the Sony wired headsets, and the cushioning is much more comfortable than the Sony wireless ones. Sound: Solid if directly connected to the device. Now, most of you know that I am kinda deaf, so I don't really pay attention to audio quality towards anything. Actually, I am lying. I love music. Hip-hop, electronic, alternative, 80's rock or pop, R&B. You name a genre, and I can probably tell you an artist and song that I like in that category. Anything outside of music is not something I can speak volumes too (that has to be a pun in this review, right?) However, when I wear these to listen to movies, and in my case, gaming, it opens me up to the world the director's universe. I can hear things in the distance in perspective of the character I follow. It's impressive to me, well, because I am deaf, lol. As for the bass, I heard frequencies I wouldn't hear on normal headphones, especially in music. There is this one song by Daft Punk called "Doin' It Right" which I have heard many times over in my car and on my phone with regular earbuds. I listened to this song with the G633, and all of a sudden, this became a better song with a bass filled depth. It was like watching Chris Nolan's "Interstellar", but with my ears </synesthesia>. On to a technical part. These headphones has to output ports: micro USB and 3.5 mm jack. Usually, headphones only allow one output, which is true in this case, however, you are able to plug in two different devices at the same time and switch between the two using a switch. The benefit to this is being able to plug in both a smartphone and PC/console at the same time. So, if you are playing a game and then your phone rings, you can flick the switch and interact with your phone's audio. Not to mention, these headsets have a mic on it, which outputs quality voice. It's not necessarily the best voice output, but its better than anything I've used. Overall, headphones are great. It's pricey, but worth it if you are a gamer who likes being immersed. 9 out of 10 eggrolls.

I have seen many bad reviews on this headset (I am guessing that most of them are related to the wireless version). After my experience with the G930, I have no interest in going through the wireless annoyances associated with that type of gaming headset. I can definitely say that this model (G633) is AWESOME! The clarity in both audio and voice is definitely top notch for the price. There are numerous customization options as well as an option to use both USB and 3.5mm jack at the same time on two different devices or the same device with multiple outputs. I personally use it during work so that I can answer my phone if there is an important call (usually medical related) without interrupting the call I am currently on. For gaming I am VERY impressed! I play a wide variety of games including Elite Dangerous and Overwatch (to name just a fraction of the amount that I play) and the clarity is perfect! You cannot sneak up on me and I can communicate to team members where an enemy is from audio alone thanks to the 7.1 surround sound. Also I can listen to pandora while in game and control the audio without having to minmize the game to adjust audio settings. Most people (myself included) have noticed that right out of the box, they are rather tight on your head. This is a true statement. However, after playing Overwatch for about 3-4 hours, the headset loosens up and fits very comfortably. After this the "tightness" is now gone and I have a very comfortable headset that literally blocks out almost everything on most frequencies. You can stand right next to me talking and I cannot hear a word you are saying. Only the high pitch of my birds can be faintly heard over the sound (depending on how loud I am listening to them). I highly recommend that you at least give these a shot as they are totally worth it!

This (as well as the corresponding wireless g933) is the last Logitech headset that supports Dolby Headphone for surround emulation. It actually supports both Dolby Headphone and DTS:X Headphone, and the user can choose either of them. Unfortunately, this is not the case for any next headset by Logitech, as g633 pro, g635 (as well as g933 pro and g935) and onwards support only DTS:X. As I have tried both, I can easily tell how good is Dolby's emulation and how bad is DTS:X. You can check it yourself. My opinion is with respect to surround sound (5.1 or 7.1 sources) only, not spatial sound. In spatial sound implementation DTS:X is pretty good as is Dolby Atmos (not Dolby Headphone), both of which do not require any support by the manufacturer (they can be bought as a separate windows app). Because of Logitech's dropping of support for Dolby, buying any newer Logitech headset is out of option for me. So, I am stacked with g633 that I love or I have to find a newer headset as good as g633. With regard to the seller (Laptops, Electronics & More) I have only the best feedback to express. There was a big problem with FedEx's service in customs clearance, but thanks to the best efforts and great support of the seller side it was overcome. One of my best amazon experiences. Thank you.

Although people might consider LED lights and fancy cables as superfluous, what I found was that an over-ear headset such as this with breathable padding was easy on me. I can wear it for ages without feeling claustrophobic (and sweaty). My earlier headset pads would peal off due to accumulated moisture and dirt (Already two SkullCandy down). 1 - It does not press your ear lobes 2 - It provides a good stereo (isolated) experience. I am not even going to get into 6 spatial points and other falatoons 3 - Works over USB 4 - Great call quality Downsides 1 - Tad expensive, but now in hindsight, I have wasted two SkullCandies that lays waste
