Very good at getting tough plaque - seems to be a professional grade product!

I bought this to remove the ugly blackish green stains that chlorhexidine rinse (mouth wash prescribed for gingivitis) left between my teeth, that make you look like a smoker for thirty years. I had to get this because there's no way my insurance would cover another appointment with my dentist so soon, especially just to remove stains. It worked wonderfully. It's an easy to use tool, well made and sturdy, very sharp, and it had no problems removing the stains. I'm thrilled. From what I can tell, this is more or less identical to the picks they use in-office. And the price point is excellent.

Let me preface. I saw a big black spec in one of my molars and was afraid it was a cavity. Alternatively I thought it might have been a shard of pepper. I brushed my teeth multiple times and it wouldn't come off. As a last ditch effort I ordered this to see if I could pick it put as I had no tooth picks. Took off 1 star as it came 2 days after promised delivery date. After it did arrive it felt heavy but badly cut on the tips. I washed it in iso alcohol on both sides as I suspect it wasn't disinfected at the package place Used it after thoroughly cleaning it and sure enough after 2 tries a black piece of peppercorn came out. The product did its job. Will I ever use it again? Probably not but I'll have it if I do. For $5 it was worth a piece of mind for me.

I really love this dental cleaning tool — it's sharp, precise, and incredibly effective. I have two front teeth that are slightly turned inward, and food often gets stuck there. This dental pick lifts out the particles easily without needing much pressure. Because it's so sharp, you do need to be careful when using it near your gums or lips — I’ve accidentally scratched myself a couple of times. But if used gently, it works great and feels almost like a professional dental scaler.

Perfect for teeth maintenance in-between 6 month cleanings for build-up on lower teeth.

I use this tool for electronics soldering. If I apply light force, the pick deforms.

I read a lot of negative reviews and it almost caused me to not buy this product. I purchased it anyways and I am happy I did. Sure, it is obviously not the dentist office quality, but it does the job. It is sharp on all the edges and is stainless steel. I used it for the first time today and it scrapped all the plaque off my teeth with ease because it’s so sharp. Be careful and go slowly especially around the gum area. Be very gentle and use minimal pressure because you don’t want to damage your enable. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and I paid only $8.

Easy to use

It is solid and works well in preventing any tartar buildup. My dentist visits have been positive as I don’t have to spend so much time dealing with the salt water spray to remove the teeth stains.

Very good quality, but be careful using it yourself, very sharp and effective scraping plaque off from teeth. Use disclosing tablets to highlight the plaque. Very effective.
