Effective standardized saw palmetto extract
This is an effective, high quality standardized saw palmetto extract. Each gel cap is 320mg of saw palmetto, standardized to 85% fatty acids. This is the dosage that was used in most of the clinical studies, and is thus what most who use saw palmetto should use. It also contains pumpkin seed oil. Although the quantity of the pumpkin seed oil is below the levels shown therapeutically effective in studies. However, it is still a healthier base for the saw palmetto than other oils more commonly used. The gel caps are easy to swallow. It is also organic. There are 60 gel caps in the bottle so it is a 2 month supply, which makes this a good value for the money.

High Quality
This is a very good brand with a standardized extract, proven to be effective in tests. It is better than other versions, but you do have to stay on in for a fair amount of time to get results. Swanson has been around a very long time and I trust this brand. I bought it for a friend and his symptoms have improved and he likes it better than what the doc. gave him which he had to stop.

Doctor's Prescription
I have used this for years since my physician prescribed it. I have used 2 bottles of Swanson from a previous order and as far as I can tell it works fine. This was a new order and I received it when promised from this vendor.

Pills were rancid.
Took this Saw Palmetto pills and they upset my stomach. Cut a pill open, and realized they were rancid.

Works well for me
This Saw Palmetto works well for me. It helps to reduce swelling in my prostate.

Contains a lot of pumpkin seed oil which is anti-androgenic
I wanted just saw palmetto for my prostrate, but this includes a big dose of pumpkin seed oil which inhibits testosterone. I never had any Ill effect taking just saw palmetto on itโs own because I think it only inhibits DHT but when I took this I started to feel like my overall testosterone was decreased. Low and behold when I started to look into why that could be I saw that this contains a known anti androgenic compound. Id be careful taking this, and maybe Find a pure source of SP.
