I was so impressed after I bought the first one that I ran my own test, filling the mug with ice and water, putting the lid on it, and letting it sit at room temperature for 24 hours and then checking it. I found that all of the ice did not completely melt until well after the 24-hour period. It is a large stainless steel (30-ounce) container and I also like the way it is designed, with a reduced base so that it will fit into a vehicle drink holder and with a tight lid. I have never known one to leak (except when I forgot to close the drink opening tightly). I use them all of the time, and I sometimes "lose" one when I put it down somewhere in the house, basement, garage, outbuilding, vehicle, or even on the lawn mower, so I keep multiples on hand, so I always have one available until I find the previous "lost" one. I was pulling my rv and accidentally left this cup full of coffee on the counter inside. I thought oh it bounced around and coffee was going to be every where inside.
