**Q: Is this a staking punch not a center punch, need around 60 degree angle?**
A: Checked with a square it is a 45 Deg angle

**Q: Dumb question, i guess, but what part is 1/4 inc and what part is 1/2 ??? i need a 1/2 shank and not a spindly/skinny 1/4 shank - so which is it???**
A: The shank (painted blue) is 1/2" diameter and 4" long.  The end point is 1/4" diameter cone that is 1.44" long.  Total end-to-end length is 6".  The striking head (painted blue) is 3/4" long with 0.7" diameter.  My center punch is named "Vulcan" made in China.

**Q: Will this stake the edge of a shaft of a few tools (a screw jack and an adjustable wrench) to keep a piece from coming off the end? Mushroom it.**
A: I don’t think this is the tool you need to do that, this will strike cold steel

**Q: Would this work on an AR15?**
A: Yes just make sure you have it in the right place. It will make the mark right where you put it.
